What if everything went wrong when the prophecy of the Dark Lord's fall was revealed? What if two families were destroyed, crushing the hopes of everyone in the wizarding world?
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies ..."
—Prophecy made to Albus Dumbledore by Sybill Trelawney
Harry Potter was never born. Lily and James Potter were never able to conceive before their deaths at the hands of Lord Voldemort. The child within the prophecy was never made specific. Without Potter, who else was there? The family Longbottom was captured soon after the birth of Neville, his grandmother murdered and parents tortured into insanity. There was no hope for the child, no mother's love to shield him from the Dark Lord's curse.
The Wizard World did not have a savior.
Years passed as war raged through the Wizarding World. An heir, unbeknownst to all but Albus Dumbledore attended Hogwarts like any other student. His mother? Andromeda Black. His father? Thomas Marvolo Riddle.
Young Eltanin Riddle was a young man that showed every sign of being a charming, charismastic and genuine wizard. His grades were high, his skills with a wand unequaled. Through his time at Hogwarts, the heir of Slytherin met his future consort, a Ravenclaw with similar beliefs of blood rights and power. Why was she not a Slytherin like him? Why would he consider having someone outside of his own house? It was simple; she would be a perfect spy, a girl that could make friends with anyone in any house without any suspicion.
They married in the middle of their seventh year and less than a year later, a child was born. While his father continued battling for domination of the Wizarding World, his heir was building his own army through friends from Hogwarts and families tired of senseless raids and foolish mistakes.
Out of nowhere, there was a new Dark Lord. All word of Lord Voldemort had vanished. Death Eaters no longer attacked the populace. People began letting their guard down, believing that their ravaged world would finally have peace.
They were fools.
Ministry officials began disappearing again. Powerful figures in Muggle Britain also fell off the radar. It wasn't until it was too late that the people of the UK, both magical and muggle, learned that they were falling under the grip of an unknown Dark Lord.
-------------
It has been eleven years. Eleven long years. The British Wizarding World, Muggle Britain and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry now sit under the rule of the nameless Lord. Muggles and mudbloods are constantly disappearing and Hogwarts no longer allows the entrance of non-pure bloods into its halls.
A small resistance force has formed against all odds but will it be enough to break through this faceless evil?
