As he kissed her back, she couldn't help but move and get on her knees on the couch, facing him some more as she felt him kiss her back in a shy way. He was very shy when it came to kissing, something Lucy knew she could work on in the near future. But for now, she felt his fingers dancing through her hair and she sighed against his lips. It was a mutual feeling: the fingers through the hair. If it was bad for Merle, it was just as bad for Lucy. She felt more electricity going through her in her brain and down to her toes as his fingers made contact with her lower back, making her scoot closer to him without even thinking.
"Well i'll be sure to write you a not to miss class, and as for detention." Lucy explained to him in almost a whisper, a small smile on her lips as she knew how close they were together, "I can try and get you out."
How was she acting like this, with Merle of all people. But they both were so unusual, and so was this situation. She still had her fingers in his hair, his face close to hers, and for a certain reason she felt like she was at home. It all about serenity, peace, comfort and positivity when it came to Merle. She was glad to have him with her there at school in the same house, others in their house looked at them with questioning eyes and murmurs behind their back. But now they have more to talk about and more to stare at since the two of them were officially together. What would they say? Would they even bother looking their way since they were already attached by the hip?

M E R L E s h e p h e r d s o n It's the song I've been trying to sing Merle wouldn't care what they said. Let them talk. He had what he wanted: Lucy. And until today, he didn't even know that he wanted her. But he did now. That was an understatement. That hunger would slowly grow and deepen. If he thought his desire for her was overpowering now, he was in for a surprise. She moved onto her knees, scooting closer to him. She was so innocent! How did she have this kind of effect on him? He was also quite innocent, too. Perhaps that was what made it so wonderful. They were both innocent and somewhat naive -- they were simply enjoying each other. One of them did not have more experience to lord over the other or to push or shove the other into things they weren't sure about. "Somehow, I don't think that would work. I'll just have to wake up and deal with sleep deprivation." he grinned. Merle could never do anything like that, even if he did know what he was doing. Sure, he could, but he had a sense of decency and ethics. Merle was too sweet to pressure someone into something like that. Especially not Lucy. He continued to nuzzle his nose to hers affectionately. Brushing his hand through her hair once more, he glanced away and blushed. "I don't want to go to bed. I want to stay up with you." he murmured. He had classes to go to in the morning, but the allure of spending just a few more minutes together with her was just too much for the boy. He was even beginning to look a little sleepy, in his eyes. Though, that could have just been his infatuation, too.

Lucy thought of some way to have him stay with her for just a few more minutes with her there in their comfort bubble. She would be kind of sad if he already left, even though they were already together and all. She still didn't want to be away from him just yet, so she decided to be bold, to do something a bit out of her comfort zone. So she did the obvious: She straddled him on the couch.
She had her legs on either side of the his , her hands resting on the back of the couch and she looked down at him. Thank god she was in physical condition from quidditch, her arms being toned and her legs as well, so she had strength to do something like that. But she was fueled by another strength, and Merle was giving that to her. Something in Merle was almost making her go crazy in a positive way, and she liked it.
"Only for a few more minutes, I can keep you awake for another minute or two, can't I?" She asked him in a murmur as she leaned in close to breathe him in, wanting to bottle it and keep it for herself for when she needed something to keep her grounded and stable. How could she think of something like this, about Merle? Did it take her that long to realize she was crazy about him, all of him, even the negative things about him? But why was she acting on this now? And in this manner? It was all crazy.
Completely, 100% crazy. But in a sense, she liked it. She needed to act crazy for once in her life, and to act a little crazy and out of her element on a couch, with a boy underneath her, was completely unusual and unique. Leave it to Merle to do this to her and make her act like this, and she knew he wasn't doing it on purpose.

M E R L E s h e p h e r d s o n Purify the colors, purify my mind Daring. That was what she was. And Merle? As she straddled him, he froze and sunk into the couch, not exactly expecting this at all. Now she was on top of him, straddling him. This was quite inappropriate, especially for the Common Room. Some part of him seemed to sense this, and he glanced around. Good thing they were all alone. This was the sort of thing people did in their beds, not in public. Her legs and arms were quite strong. He was sure she could kill him with her thighs if she wanted to. And her legs! That was probably the first thing he noticed. Merle had a thing for legs. To say the least. Immediately, his hands brushed over her legs, swallowing heavily. His eyes trailed over the length of her legs on either side of him before following her curves, to her chest, and then back up her neckline to her face, which was still so close to his. Her words caused his breath to hitch in his throat and he found he couldn't speak anymore -- his eyes locked on her neck. That was another thing he liked -- necks. Can of worms. Can of worms. Can of worms. He was practically quivering under her, his fingertips digging ever so gently into the muscle on her upper thigh. This was almost too much for the poor boy. His emerald eyes focused on her skin, soft and smooth, and he couldn't help it. He leaned forward, pressing his lips to the tender skin on her neck. He could feel her pulse against his lips, slowly pressing soft kisses up her neck to her jawline, which he followed, trailing kisses the entire way up to her lips. Right before he was about to press a kiss to her lips, he paused, whispering a single word to her. As he spoke, his lips brushed ever so faintly against hers. "Yes."And then he kissed her.

To see him look up at her like that, in the fashion of a predator about to devour her prey, it was all fuel for her. Somehow this animal inside of her, begging to be free for a minute or two, was finally going to as she felt his fingers on her legs. Shock went through her spine from his touch on her skin, and he looked at her legs like they were prized possessions that he and he alone can touch. That had to be true, he could only do that to her and get away with it. They were together now, and his touch on her was a silent claim. It was a soft yet protective hold on her, like he was making sure this was real for them both and that this was no dream. She knew this was reality, everything she was feeling and thinking and breathing and saying make it clear that this was reality.
And he was being forward too.
His lips on her neck, it almost made her melt completely to the floor and go into shock. She knew her neck was sensitive, since she would get hit once or twice in the neck from a flying ball on the field and it would be worse then a swift hit to the chest, but this. She tried not to moan form the sensation of his lips on her neck, her hand on the couch digging into the fabric and the other going to the back of his head gently, trying to get another grasp of reality. But when his lips made it to her jawline, she sighed out loud, trying to hold it in because of what he was doing to her. HIs lips made it to hers, hearing him whisper one word and kissed her.
She was gone.
She kissed him back, a bit harder but trying to show him that he was making her insane. Her fingers on the back of his head dug through his hair again as they kissed on the couch, adrenaline and pure love for the other was the fuel for the kisses between them. She tilted her head to the side to make the kiss deeper, something inside of her snapped, but in a oh so good way.

M E R L E s h e p h e r d s o n And spread the ashes of the colors over this heart of mine If there was any doubt about Merle's heterosexuality, this would be the end of it. His eyes slid shut as she pressed fully against him, their lips locked. Her fingertips tangled in his hair, a soft moan came from his throat, muffled by her own lips. His nails lightly dragged along her legs, finding the fabric of her uniform, tangling themselves up in its hem. Something, anything he could hold onto. He was losing his grasp on the physical world. Well, the one outside of her. But did that even matter anymore? He wasn't even aware that he was still in the Common Room anymore. But he would be soon. His hands slid up, brushing over the fabric of her uniform and rested on her hips. Once again, his fingertips found themselves tangled in the fabric, pulling her closer. His usually calm, rational mind was gone now. It had checked out long ago, to be honest. Here he was, sitting on the Hufflepuff Common Room couch, making out with Lucy Ferrier in the middle of the night. Heck, his hands almost trailed to where they shouldn't have gone. But didn't. Not yet, at least. It drove him wild. The taste of her lips, the smell of her hair and of her skin. The way her skin bubbled up underneath his touch, forming goosebumps. The sounds she made alone could have forced him over the edge if he weren't so overloaded with stimulus right now. Her fingers tangled in his hair drove him wild, too. His breath was shallow and came through his nose as he dabbed his tongue tentatively along her lower lip as if begging for entrance. He pressed up against her as she straddled him, all at once lost to the rush and feel of her body against his. Completely lost. His whole body seemed to quiver at once as he nibbled at her lower lip, a rough groan managing to slip out of his throat. His eyes shot open and his cheeks reddened quite a bit as he remained there, his lips still locked with hers. His mind raced. On the one hand, he couldn't believe what had just happened, but then again, part of him was expecting it, what with her... well, straddling him like this and all. She wouldn't notice, would she? And if she did, would she think him a lesser man? It wasn't like he was very experienced in all of this, he had shared his first kiss with her not hours ago! He had hardly touched a girl, especially in a romantic sort of way. After a few long, and now somewhat agonizing moments, (at least for him, knowing what had just happened), he parted from the kiss and looked at her sheepishly. "We...should probably go to bed soon." he murmured, swallowing heavily.

His moan made her sigh, something was happening between them and she tried to hard to ground herself. It wasn't that she was a completely animal with another boy, she's never done this before to anyone, so this was her first time....with Merle....on a couch in the common room late at night with a sore shoudler....oh man.
She was completely crazy about him.
The fingers on her legs went to her waist, holding her and bringing her closer. This side of Merle was making her insides burst with happiness that she wanted to see him more often. Her fingers were still in his hair and the other flew to his neck, holding it there as he deepened the kiss slightly, making his mouth silence the moan coming through her body. How she was making noises like that was beyond her, but he was doing that to her, making her go insane and crazy and light headed and bubbly all at the same time. Her body wanted to be closer to him, so find more of the heat his body was giving her. Everything was on fire, everything was blurring together and she loved it.
She loved it.
He pulled away from her, after what seemed like ages to her and he was still close to her. She knew the both of them needed to breathe, and after kissing like that, she needed to breathe deeply as well. Her head was getting light headed, her shoulder pain was coming back slightly and her hand on his neck was trembling, along with the hand on the back of his head. She brought that hand around to move the hair away from his eyes, how green they were and how warm they were. She now loved the color green, all because of his eyes. There was a slight blush on his cheeks, his lips parted from the kissing and red as well, his eyes were on her the whole time they were there in that compromising position. She nodded her head from his claim of them going to bed soon, but her body wouldn't move from its spot on top of him.
"We should." She replied back to him, still not back to move and having both of her hands on his neck, slightly framing his face in her hands. She bit her lip, having her lip in between her teeth without even thinking, wondering how they got to this spot.

M E R L E s h e p h e r d s o n Hormones. Right now, Merle was just a corporeal flesh-bag of hormones. And emotion, but that was a bit overshadowed by the way his body felt. Certainly, it was a part of it, but . . . You can't exactly ignore biology. Not when it was straddling you, lips within reach, hands buried in your hair and holding you close. No, he could not ignore it. But did he have to be a slave to it? No. There were plenty of things he wanted to do, but he didn't do them. Time and place. This wasn't the time or the place. Already in his head though, his mind was racing. Where could the two of them be alone, to kiss and touch like this? He was already addicted. It hadn't even been a day! For science's sake, it had hardly been more than a few hours and he was already longing for her. Then again, it didn't help that she was incredibly beautiful, her skin irresistible. Her eyes, too. Her eyes, how she looked at him! She was like a sleek, powerful jaguar, perched in a tree, hovering over her prey. And he was her prey. He was caught, trapped. But he didn't mind. No, in a way he put himself in this position. He was thoroughly enjoying it, to say the least . . . so much so that he was now quite embarrassed, but he was showing a poker face so that she wouldn't know that he. . . Needed a change of pants. He didn't just need that, though. He needed to think about some things. Hardcore. He'd likely spend all night lying in bed, thinking of her. Not in a perverted way, necessarily, but he was a man. He did have desires. No, Merle would think about her like that, but he'd also focus on logistics.Would she even agree to that? Was it too early? Would he get too attached? Would she get too attached? Where could they possibly go? And what about birth control? That was a definite must, especially if she was going to end up straddling him very often, that sort of thing was bound to happen. It was a natural progression. They were teenagers after all. Luckily, Merle didn't have any hangups about sexuality. He certainly wasn't what people would call a slut, she was the first person he had ever been remotely intimate with. And he wasn't a slut-shamer, either. No, if anything of that sort ever happened between them, he'd handle it delicately. He wouldn't necessarily glorify it too much, but he certainly couldn't imagine sharing that with her to be a negative experience. He'd wait for her to make the first move, though. But for certain, they had some talking to do. . . but not tonight. It was getting late. "Y-yeah." he murmured, his voice cracking as if he were thirteen again. He shifted slightly, wrapping his arms tightly around her torso, resting his head on a shoulder. He held her close in a long hug, calming down considerably just holding her. After a few moments, he shifted again, just a little, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek, and then to her lips. "We have to go to bed. " he smiled, nudging her until she moved off of him. "I'll... see you in Potions tomorrow. Partners, right?" he blushed. At least his pants were feeling a little less tight.

Lucy smiled slightly from the change in his voice and mentally knowing this was as far as this was going to go for tonight. She did need to think, about what they did and what they were going to be. Was he going to be okay with this? How could be not be from kissing her in that fashion and holding her close as is he was afraid that she was going to disappear from his lap into thin air. Lucy herself was afraid this was a sheer dream, something that she was going to wake up from and ultimately hate for certain.
She moved up from his lap and stood up straight, moving away from him completely and looking down at her clothes, which looked rather messy and moved around a bit. She smiled, bit her lip once again and moved her hair out of her eyes before looking back at Merle. God his eyes were becoming home to her and she grinned at him, having her hands behind her back as she spoked to Merle.
"Come by the shop tomorrow, I work after our class." She explained to him in a small smile. She would want to talk to him about what they just did and if this meant anything to either one of them. She hoped it did mean something to him, because it meant something to her. She felt something shift in her chest, something good shift to something even better, But it was hard to find the right words to describe what she was feeling and how she was dealing with all of it.
But in a way she liked it.
He must of wanted to talk about it too, and talking about it in Potions class didn't seem that logical in her mind. She wanted to talk about it in more of a private session, away from the other students who might hear. But in that case students came to the shop so that wouldn't be good. But then again they both loved the shop, it was safer for the both of them and it would be more comfortable.

M E R L E s h e p h e r d s o n Of course he was going to be okay with it. It was great! She was pretty, and funny and also pretty and she had a great personality and also she was pretty and she was a GIRL. Yeah, that was basically Merle's checklist. Pretty. Funny. Personality. Female. He stood up as well, watching her. He'd see her in potions class, for certain, as he had promised her he'd be her partner and help. Potions was probably the one thing he was good at, and it was something she dreaded. He was patient, too, and loved explaining things and teaching, so maybe he'd be better at getting things across than Professor Bryce. He could be a bit harsh, sometimes, Professor Bryce. And sometimes, he didn't explain things very well. It was only because Merle took a particular interest in Potions that he was able to make top marks in the class. The two of them looked like a hot mess, he noticed, as he looked from her to himself. His tie was all loose, his shirt untucked, his pants -- well, you couldn't tell he had busted one in his pants, but he knew. Oh, he knew. Hopefully, she didn't notice. If she brought it up, he'd turn it around on her playfully, and just explain that he couldn't help it -- she was too beautiful. And that was the truth, honestly. He swallowed heavily, looking her over. His eyes lingered a little too long on her legs before traveling back up to her face. Science forbid she ever wore a short skirt and heels, it'd be all over before the races even started for the poor boy. She invited him to the store after class. That would work, but it didn't seem very private to him. He'd go, but somehow he imagined they wouldn't get a whole lot done, except for getting poor Merle a case of type 2 diabetes. He smiled lightly, moving forward and wrapping her up in one of his familiar bear hugs. He even went so far as to lift her off the around and twirl her in a circle before setting her down again. He was completely infatuated with her, that much was obvious by the look in his emerald eyes as he looked down to her. How could this not mean something to him? He pressed a chaste kiss to her lips and then to her forehead. "I'll be there." he promised her, giving her another kiss. "Sweet dreams. See you tomorrow in class. And then at the shop. " he said, punctuating each sentence with a light kiss. He couldn't tear himself away from her, hardly. Hesitantly, achingly, he managed to pull away from her. Clearly, he didn't want to let go. Clearly, he wanted to take her back to his bed and curl up with her, safe and warm. Clearly. He slowly backed away, heading to the dorms. Tonight was going to be a long, lonely night.
