1) What's the plot of Magical Purpose?
A. There is no set plot here to be honest. On Magical Purpose, unique characters are made and go to Hogwarts the same way the cannons did. However, the cannons never existed and there are no knowledge of them ever. It is a new batch of people not related to them at all. The subplots and events that are made will keep things very interesting and fun so no worries about being bored.

2) Do you have to start as a first year?
A. No, you can pick whichever year you want to start from and go up from there, but in this sense it is sometimes good to play a first year.

3) Do teachers actually teach and give homework?
A. While going to classes is not mandatory (but highly recommended) the teachers do teach in classes. It is structured and can be a lot of fun

4) How do I move up a year?
A. When the term is finished, everyone will move up a year.

5) How do I sign up for classes?
A. You can sign up for classes by going to one of the classroom boards and replying in the sign up thread the professor has created. If there is not a sign up sheet in there, it usually means the professor has not yet been hired for that class. If term is already in session and you just joined, you can still sign up for classes and you can just post in the next class; you will be excused from missed lessons if you are a NEW member (character).

5.5) If I just got accepted, can I still sign up for classes?
A. Absolutely! The only thing is you may not be able to join in on the current lessons until the next lesson is posted. That's up to the discretion of the teacher though. But you can definitely still sign up, for sure.

6) How do I get house points?
A. Professors and admins can hand out house points as they see fit. Doing good deeds gives you house points and bad deeds results in you losing house points. The house with the most house points at the end of the term wins the house cup!

7) Can I have more than one character?
A. Yes, if they are on separate accounts. You also have to make sure it is within the timeline explained in the rules.

8) How can I change my display name?
A. You can change your display name by going to your profile and modifying your name where it says "Display Name". Type in whatever you want your name to be, and voila!

9) Do I have to buy stuff at Diagon Alley?
A. You don't have to RP yourself going to diagon alley and buying everything, no.

10) How do I know what month we are in?
A. There will be an announcement when there is a change in month

11) How come I can't change the font size!
A. This is a VERY common question. The font size is automatically set to size=1 which is what is posted in replies and threads, however sometimes layouts and stuff need a bigger size to fully get it's beauty through. To do this just make sure that your tags are around the text and not inbetween. For example, if you need to italicize, colourize, and up the size of a word, you do [*color=red][*i][*size=3]TEXT

[/i][/color] Obviously without the *'s. But the size tags HAVE to be directly around the actual words.

12) How can I earn House Points OOC?
A. House points can be earned OOC by bringing a member to the board who stays and RP's (not just joins), (10 points per member), advertising on another site (5 points per site) or at an admin's discretion.

13) Where can I tell you that I've done all this?
A. If you've advertised or brought someone to the board, you can go here and fill out the form with a link to the site or member's profile.

14) Do you accept werewolves, vampires, veelas etc.?
A. As of right now, we currently are not accepting any of these abilities. However, later on there is a huge possibility that we will open it up. Time will tell if this happens or not.
