GENERAL INFORMATION
FULL NAME: Bryce Nichol Tudor
NICKNAME(S): Bry, Tudor
DATE OF BIRTH: January 1st 1985
AGE: 26
POSITION: Potions, Astrology, History of Magic
LINEAGE: half-blood
WAND: Australian Blackwood, Chimera Scale, 17 3/4
[/ul]
APPEARANCE
HAIR: Brown
EYES: Dark brown, almost black
HEIGHT: 6 foot 2 inches
WEIGHT: 191 pounds
DETAILED: Hair&Eyes. Two very dark features. Bryce has never been one for long hair, he’s always kept it trim and short. The texture is rather soft, it all wisps toward the front of his face. He keeps it short enough where it falls around the frame of his eyes, if it becomes a bit too long he’ll style just the types upward a bit. The color is a chestnut brown; of course in darker lighting his hair will appear darker. But if he were to stand under a light it’s really just a rich regular brown. As for Bryce’s eyes, there is something unnatural going on… For being a Caucasian male of British descent, why are his eyes black? It must be a strange genetic thing running in his family, he tells people they are dark brown but their really just black…
Face&Body. His face. Bryce has a strange olive paleness to him. His skin tone is pale for the most part, but there is an olive twinge to it, as if he had a speck of Mediterranean somewhere in his lineage. When he tilts his head down, it’s as if every inch of his face that ranges from his eyes to his eyebrows become a dark shadow, Bryce has always had that effect. His jaw is pretty defined when his face is turned, he keeps his sideburns very short as well, always shaving clean, though this doesn’t help him look any manlier. In fact, he just appears younger, as if seventeen. Bryce has a small crook down the length of his nose, his ears are strangely a bit high and his eyebrows naturally arched. When it comes to down to his body build, it’s rather thin. Bryce never found the appeal in physically building himself, he has a wand, what does he need extra athletic strength? He has a few beauty marks across his body, no tattoos however and just one thin crooked scar down his abdomen, from a few years back.
Style&Extras. Style… Style… Bryce has a lot of style, you could say he has a lot of influence and experience with clothing. But the thing is, not a lot of people see him outside of his professor robes. In all honesty, that is true. Even when he isn’t teaching, he has his professor robes on. Plain black and white suit style, billow black cloak. He leaves the school fashioned as so as well. You would have to catch him during a vacation to see how he truly dresses. Which is actually quite relaxed and classy. Buttoned shirts and ties, even his relaxed clothing doesn’t seem so relaxed. It might be the way Bryce holds himself. His back is always straight, his arms stiff at his sides… A hug would certainly be strange from this young looking professor.

PERSONALITY
DISLIKES: smokers, extreme promiscuity, immaturity, rowdy students, being assumed younger than his age, arrogance, easy girls, terrible manners, warm weather, cheaters (in all aspects of life).
STRENGTHS: quiet, extraordinary potioneer, mature, bold, honest, independent
WEAKNESSES: believes being alone may be best, a good romance, a glass of wine, herbology, following the rules when it comes to reprimanding students
ERISED: to be in great power (minister of magic, headmaster, king...)
BOGGART: to be ignorant and on the streets
DEMENTOR: when he was struck at seventeen, accidentally with a dagger. the boys he had been playing with, instead of calling for help (they were muggles) left him and so a muggle man had taken him and stitched him back up himself.
DETAILED:
TheNASTY. Bryce isn't necessarily a mean man, but he has to be tough on his students. When you look as young as you do, your entire life, always looking so young, you can't be nice. You have to be terribly mean, you have to be tough, it's just the way it goes. So he is. He rarely humors his students and uses threats and intimidation the most. Yes, he may walk in looking like a 6th year, but by the end of the lesson, as you watched that live snake be turned into burning ash by a potion he personally discovered, you might think again about sneering over the professor's appearance during class. Of course the rumors of him hanging students in the dungeons help, he'll never tell if those accusations are true or false though.
TheGOOD. There is good in this professor, but few get to see it (well when it comes to his students). Very few students may have found the good in Professor Tudor. Once in a blue moon, he might come upon a student being bullied in the dungeons, being kicked around or embarrassed. Now, whose to say whether or not those students got detention for a week later was because they were accused of cheating on an exam? And who taught that bullied student how to produce a potion where their victim's hair catches on fire, with all the pain but none of the aftermath or effects? Who taught that student that? How dare!
TheADULT. Leaving professor influences behind, you are really just looking at a man in his 60's. What? Yes, 60's. Not in the boring sense, but in the wisdom. He isn't exuberant in life. Bryce is an introvert. He keeps to himself, he reads much more than he should. He takes long walks along, in the dark, and would very much rather be awake all night than up for the morning. For other professors and adults to befriend him, it may be a bit difficult. He is a likable guy though, maybe not friend material, but definitely not enemy material. He's just that professor, that quite professor who may help you out on a rainy day. [/ul]
HISTORY
MOTHER: Isabel Vancetor, deceased, halfblood
FATHER: Henry Tudor, deceased, pureblood
SIBLINGS: none
DETAILED:
Bryce grew up in Winchester England, a beautiful and historic cathedral city. He was born on January 1st, New Years Day. When his mother gave birth, as most would bask in the glory of their first child to be a son, she basked alone. Where a husband and father should be, was no one. Well, not no one, her father, Bryce's grandfather, was there. But his father was no where to be found. And why would this be? The stereotypical story of why some fathers were absent, a mischievous affair. His father had merely had sex with the help, simple and put to it. Was it a love affair or a few short shags? Bryce didn't know, it wasn't as if his mother could tell him either. She died the next day from complications with the birth and her muggle father being too stubborn to find someone who could use magic, even to save his own daughter.
So there Bryce was, without a father, without a mother. Woe is him? Not so much. He grew up like any other boy, except, raised by his grandfather. His grandmother, apparently she had run out sometime ago, she was the magical member of his mother's side. His father's side, they were all purebloods, but it wasn't as if Bryce knew that. His grandfather raised him well though, he raised him to be a provider, to not follow anyone but himself and most importantly, to be educated. Education was what would get Bryce a better future, an actual family, a life after his grandfather would die.
When Bryce got his Hogwarts letter, he hadn't even known he was of magical descent. His grandfather had kept it from him, for all these years. He had masked the magic he had inherited Merlin knows when! It was awe inspiring to say the least. As the headmaster spoke with his grandfather and then with Bryce, there was a decision to be made. Leave his grandfather to endorse his magical abilities or reject the offer to attend school at Hogwarts and remain with his grandfather, for his grandfather would have nothing to do with Bryce if he wanted to remain magical folk. Bryce loved his grandfather, that was his father basically, was it not? But this was something bigger than the both of them and Bryce wanted to go, so he did.
His first year at Hogwarts was interesting to say the least. He had actually been sorted into Slytherin, which fit perfectly well with him. During the summers until his third year, he would stay in oddball homes. He didn't make good enough friends to live with during the summers but he found places, the professors helped him. But when he came back from his third year of school, he had to try and reason with his grandfather, and he went back to Winchester and did so. It took three weeks for his grandfather to come around. The man was old and stuck in his ways, he had been deceived by his wife, a witch... His daughter had been a witch and he was deceived by her as well! AND she had had a bastard child with a wealthy man in power who had nothing to do with her afterward, but Bryce had come back. Bryce was appeared loyal, he was practically his son, so he took him back.
Bryce continued to live with his grandfather after that, attending school and bouncing back and forth. He excelled in potions and astrology, history would come next. He was such an old man in spirit. Little romances and flings came and went, Bryce wasn't very interested in girls, his grandfather endorsed that for right now. "There will be a time for girls at a later date, now, you study. If you are going to be this, wizard, as they say, you are going to be one of the best!" And he was. Bryce became a prefect and followed to be a Head Boy, he was amazing no one had discovered his taste for black magic.
And how did this black magic come to by? Sneaky sneaky. It only took 16 years for Henry Tudor to discover he had a son who was a wizard. When he found out he went in search of Bryce, starting at his grandfather's home who didn't condone the man try and contact the son. But Henry was of magical folk, and he had his ways. It took one trip to Hogsmeade for Henry to find Bryce, just by physical features, and that's all it took. Bryce wasn't opened or welcomed to the idea of this man, his "father". But he wasn't opposed either, he was actual a bit neutral. It was a man, who had helped create him, nothing more nothing less. But he could teach him things Hogwarts couldn't, and Bryce soaked that up. The dark arts was where his father's interested lie and soon Bryce was gaining the same interests.
After that, Bryce graduated and apprenticed to become a professor. He wanted power one day and Headmaster could come first, then when he was older, Minister. He had it all planned out. When he was 18 his grandfather died, going with it the only person he ever really loved. He promised himself he would be the best, he studied harder and became a professor, he was proud, his grandfather would be proud as well.
Now teaching at Hogwarts, all Bryce can do is influence his students to the best of his abilities, keep his secret yearn for the dark arts to himself and make sure his students do NOT step out of line.

RP SAMPLE: Who would visit a greenhouse on a perfectly sunny and windy day? A day where the soil was moist and the plants were thriving? Every bloody student in the school. Well, not everyone. But the herbology freaks, or those working on their plants as a form of study, maybe even some to just check out the plants. Because of the overcrowding Ashford would never have went to visit the greenhouses. On a sunny day he would probably be found poking around a secluded spot of the lake, or taking a walk somewhere, if not he would find a nice deserted corridor of the dungeons to reflect. The male merely wanted to be alone, was that too to ask of?
However Ashford was forced upon the spot for the day. He had been sent a few seeds a few weeks ago in the mail by a… “friend”. Nevertheless this plant was surely to be an interesting one. He was actually excited interested in what would become of it. Would it be carnivorous? Large teeth? Or possibly poisonous? Oh yes, emitting a deadly gas. He had to hide it in the back of the greenhouse to assure no professor or nosy student would find it. The bud was just starting to peak, it would surely be tempting to look at.
The tall and slender pale Slytherin walked briskly past the students congregating in different areas. He moved straight for the back, taking no notice of others as most didn’t take notice him. A few may have, probably thinking deep within their thoughts that it was a rare occasion to see Ashford out and about in broad daylight, out of classes, in a public dense area. But ah well, they were lucky to catch the glimpse of him. He was rumored (quite foolishly if he must say so) to be a vampire, how stupid a thought was that? People were idiots. If he found out who started such a rumor, he would stab them late at night, in the kitchen, with a butcher knife he would steal from a house elf. The warm blood dripping down their neck… But he wouldn’t drink from it, oh no. Who would be the vampire then?
