*gryffindor
*ravenclaw
*slytherin
*hufflepuff
LINEAGE: muggleborn

APPEARANCE
HAIR: dark brown
EYES: hazel
HEIGHT: 5'4
WEIGHT: 120 lbs
DETAILED:
Kadie's hair is naturally blond, but she dyed it dark brown during the summer, and she likes it that way. She wanted a change after her relationship got over, so dying her hair seemed like the thing to do. She's only 5'4. And she's got a small-frame. She started working out in the summer though so she's been building up some muscle. She has always been conscious of her body because she plays quidditch, but she's even more concerned about it now, and spent a lot of time working out during the summer.
Her skin is fair, and she has a hard time tanning. Her eyes are hazel. Though she's been told that they are the color of dark honeysuckle, whatever that means. She's got two piercings in her ears. She just got the other piercing during the summer as well. She's got a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulderblade. She got the tattoo also during the summer.
When she's not wearing the Hogwarts uniform, Kadie is a big fan of being comfortable. She likes her jeans and flip-flops. Though she does dress nice too. She likes skirts and she's got good taste in clothing from her mom. But mostly, she just likes comfort since her mother forced her to model when she was younger. So now she gets to get away with wearing jeans and whatever she likes. She doesn't follow the crowd or what's in. She wears what she wants, even if it means not being weather appropriate. She's quite proud of her style though. She did learn good style from her mother and then she just kind of incorporated her own.
She likes to look nice for class. So she does her hair in different ways every day, or she just leaves it down. She doesn't believe in a ton of makeup though like other girls wear gobs and gobs. Normally she just has her lip gloss and barely bothers with the makeup. Maybe that's because her mother always put gobs on her when she forced her to model for the company. But appearance is important to her, so she does try to look nice every day.

DEMENTOR:
Kadie's worst memory is during the summer when Marcus wanted nothing to do with her after she told him she was pregnant with his baby. She quickly miscarried that baby, and that was a bad deal. She hasn't seen Marcus since. But it has totally changed her aspect on men. And since Marcus was a seventh year slytherin, it has especially soured her view on slytherin males.
DETAILED:
Outspoken: This girl is not afraid to speak her mind. She's always been that way. Maybe it was just how she was raised. She always tried to say things to get underneath her mother's skin. So she's just blunt and says whatever the heck comes to mind. She's even blunt with her friends. When they ask her for her opinion, she's not afraid to give it even if that means hurt feelings. She hasn't exactly learned the art of knowing when to bite her tongue and when not to. So she can be a bit of a pain sometimes but at least people pretty much always know where they stand with her.
Impulsive: She tends to act before she thinks, and she's quite the daredevil so she's seen the hospital wing many a time in her time at Hogwarts. Her impulsive behavior has been known to get her into some trouble though. She's smart when it comes to school and stuff, but not so smart when it comes to making sure to think everything through before jumping.
Smart: Kadie was born to a muggle household. So before she got her letter to Hogwarts she was going to muggle elementary school. And schooling provided a way for her to escape the reality of her household. And Hogwarts, even though she didn't have to put up with her parents anymore, that habit of using schooling to escape from things, didn't change. Getting really good grades is extremely important to her. It has been her goal to get top grades and then go on to the daily prophet and work there.
Reckless: Along with being impulsive she can be highly reckless when it comes to her own safety. She'll try most things at least once even if it's extremely dangerous. She kind of gets her thrills from doing crazy things, actually. She's not one to turn down dares either, it's kind of her weakness actually. She doesn't ever want to be perceived as a wimp or too scared to try anything. So she can be a bit of an idiot at times. Don't ever tell this girl that she can't do something, it'll just make her want to do it more.
Stubborn:Extremely stubborn. That added with the reckless and impulsive behavior often makes for a very bad combination. Once her mind is made up, it is very hard to change it, and there's not many people who are able to change her mind once it's made up.
Rebel: She may be smart, but she's got a problem with authority figures. It's because her parents always told her what to do and who to be, and she was never good enough for them. So she has a hard time trusting adults period since she never had good examples of adults considering who her parents are and who they hang out with. So she's definitely not a teacher's pet and she bends the rules sometimes just a little as a way to rebel. She keeps her head down in class and her grades are important to her, but sucking up to the teachers was never on the agenda with her.
Independent:Growing up as an only child, made Kadie independent. Plus, she never really wanted to be around her parents if she could help it. So she definitely likes her own space and time. She's not one of those people who constantly needs to be around other people and to be entertained all of the time.
Loyal: It's hard for Kadie to let people get close to her, especially after what happened in the summer, but those people that she comes to trust, she's extremely loyal to. She's the type of person who would do anything for her friends. Her friends become her family since her parents are so dsyfunctional.
Protective:Picking on any of Kadie's friends is a huge no no, and you'll have Kadie to deal with. She's extremely fiesty and intimidating when she wants to be, so it would probably be a good idea not to pick on any of her friends in the first place.
Aloof: She's not as approachable as maybe she could be. She just has a hard time trusting people and because of the environment she grew up with, she always believes that people have ulterior motives or something. The words I love you have never been said in Kadie's household, so she's just not touchy-feely and isn't used to people that are that way. But she does become close to her friends.
Impatient:Kadie can be a bit of a bitch because she's got no patience for people who annoy her. That combined with her tendency to let things fly out of her mouth can turn people off real quick. But as long as people don't get on her bad side, she's mostly okay.
Cynic: She doesn't really believe in love or in fairy tales and makes fun of the girls who do believe in that stuff and are waiting for their knight in shining armour to come along and rescue them. She's had bad examples of love in her own household and then the first time she fell in love it wasn't good. So she's become very cynical.

HISTORY
MOTHER: Elizabeth Taylor, thirty-six, muggle
FATHER: Alex Taylor, forty-four, muggle
SIBLINGS: None
DETAILED:
Kadie Taylor was born to Alex and Elizabeth Taylor in New York City, New York. Alex and Elizabeth are muggles, so Kadie grew up with no clue about the wizarding world. But she like other kids started showing signs of having magical abilities. But it wasn't like she had anybody to talk to about it. Her parents wouldn't have understood anyway. Elizabeth had Kadie at a young age by accident. Alex did the right thing and married her, but the marriage was never a happy one.
Elizabeth and Alex always expected a lot of Kadie. Elizabeth got Kadie into modeling at the young age of six. And then Liz would make Kadie attend the grownup parties and have afternoon tea with her and her malicious friends. School was her escape when she was really young. But even for school her parents would tell her who to be and who to hang out with. It was expected of her to hang out with the other rich kids. But Kadie started rebelling in whatever way she could. And she'd hang out with the poorest kids she could find simply to annoy them.
And she hated modeling. She would do what she could to embarrass her mother at her company. So whatever Kadie did, it was never good enough. Sure, Kadie always loved her parents. But she never felt good enough or loved by them. Their love was never unconditional, it always came with strings attached. The one person in Kadie's life that she could count on was her aunt Jasmine. Jasmine was Elizabeth's older sister, and eccentric and wild. She was just cool. The complete opposite of Liz.
There had been a falling out though between Jasmine and Liz years before Kadie had been born. Alex and Liz let Kadie visit Jasmine though whenever they wanted her out of their hair, but it wasn't ever often enough for Kadie's liking. When Kadie was eleven years old she received her letter to Hogwarts. She was completely shocked and her parents were too. They didn't want her to go. They were freaked out and wanted nothing to do with the wizarding world. They wanted Kadie to stay and be under their thumb. Who needed the wizarding world when they were going to make Kadie grow up and be a famous model?
But Kadie had never wanted anything more in her life. She wanted to go to Hogwarts and get away from her parents. So, she began refusing to model and when her mother did go she caused major scenes to embarrass her mother way more then she ever did in the past. Finally fed up with it all, Liz sent Kadie to Jasmine. Jasmine was on board with Kadie going to school. So behind Kadie's parents backs, Jasmine took Kadie to diagon alley and helped her to go to school, and it was Jasmine who saw her off when she boarded Hogwarts Express.
After she was sorted into her house, Kadie began exceeling at Hogwarts. She had a hard time letting people get close to her a bit, but she had her friends and she grew a love for Quidditch. But even though she was great at school, she tended to stay away from the teachers and not let any of them get close to her. She also had a knack for trouble. It would just find her. She would do anything for a dare and she wasn't really ever afraid to try anything.
She's had several broken bones and other things happen to her. So she's no stranger to the hospital wing. In her third year she even managed to get herself lost in the forbidden forest. But her parents had considered it the ultimate betrayal when she'd gone to Hogwarts behind their backs. So summers aren't that great around the house. Her mother still makes her model and attend the parties. And since she turned fifteen, her mother started setting her up with potential doctors and lawyers. So her summer consisted of getting dumped by Marcus and then getting set up with guys she didn't even know.
Fourth year, Kadie really began to blossom. Guys started noticing her, and she started letting go of those walls that she put around herself. She got noticed by a seventh year slytherin named Marcus. He swept her off her feet. She couldn't believe that an older guy wanted to be with her, but he did. They spent most of her forth year together. At the end of the year, he convinced her to sleep with him. And then she found out she was pregnant. In the summer she dared to tell him the news that she was pregnant. He wanted nothing to do with her after that. He was convinced that the baby was not his, and then he went off and Kadie has never seen him since.
Kadie's parents were not thrilled needless to say. They hadn't been thrilled meeting Marcus, which was why they had begun setting her up with other guys. They didn't want their reputations ruined. They didn't want any of their friends knowing that their daughter was pregnant. But they needn't have worried. Kadie miscarried the baby before she even began showing. It was devestating for her. And her parents were not understanding at all. They were just glad that it was over with.
So that summer, even though her parents had a much tighter leash on her than usual because of the pregnancy thing, she found ways to rebel. She changed her hair color and got a tattoo and another piercing in her ear. She just wanted some major changes. She felt like she needed to become somebody new.
When she came back to school for this current year she was even more aloof then she'd been before forth year. She was determined never to let herself get hurt again. She'd never let another boy have the power to hurt her again. She'd make sure of it. So this year, she's been particularly cold towards guy who try to have anything to do with her. She's angry at herself for being easy enough to the point that she'd let Marcus in her pants. She regrets it, and she's determined that she won't live to regret anything like that again. So, for this year she's determined to kick butt at quidditch, and get the top grades in her O.W.L's, and not worry too much about being too social.

RP SAMPLE:
Today was a good day. It was a good day because Melody's husband Charles was out of town on business. She could relax and completely enjoy herself while he was out of town. She was at the mall getting a few things. Her little four-year-old, Ally was holding her hand as they went from store to store. They hadn't been there that long, but Mel knew that Ally would get bored after awhile. At lunchtime they could stop at the food court and she'd get chicken nuggets for her. So far, Ally was interested in watching the people as they walked along. Melody smiled and nodded at people as they said hello to her because it was what was expected. Being married to one of the richest guys in town, well, people tended to know her that way. And then she and Charles always got involved in things and threw parties. It got tiring after awhile. She especially hated it when Charles was in town because he paraded her and Ally around like they were his show horses. When he was gone, she was more relaxed and didn't mind chatting with people.
She had to hide the fact that it was tiring though. She had to be perfect in public or there would be consequences. You see, Charles was abusive. Everything had to be up to his standards or he'd explode. So the times when he went out of town on business, she didn't have to worry about keeping the house perfectly spotless or worry about having a perfect dinner for him when he arrived at home. She could be free to spend as much time in town as she wanted and just enjoy herself. She hated that nobody in town seemed to realize how Charles was. But then again, she couldn't exactly blame them because she had been fooled too. It wasn't like she'd fallen in love with him or anything. She was still in love with her high-school sweetheart, Ryan. Had never gotten over him actually. But she'd let him go when she'd realized she was pregnant with his kid because he'd always had dreams and she hadn't wanted to hold him back. She felt guilty that he didn't know that Ally was his daughter. But there was nothing she could do about that now. I mean, what could she do really? Call him up and tell him that she had lied to him way back when and admit that Ally was his daughter? She couldn't do that. He'd probably moved on and was probably quite successful now anyway. No sense in going into the past. It was over.
It had been extremely stupid of her to get married to Charles in the first place. But she'd been fooled. Even though she was in love with Ryan, she figured she could learn to love Charles and she would have a child for her baby. Something she was happy about because she hadn't wanted to leave town. And she would have had to because of the pregnancy and she hadn't wanted it to get back to Ryan. So people all just assumed that Ally was Charles' daughter since she'd married Charles so quickly. The truth was hard for her. But she tried to ignore it. The only reason why she stayed married to Charles was because he had threatened that if she ever left him he would kill her and Ally. At least this way he had never laid a finger against her daughter. She did everything for her little girl.
"Mommy, can we go to the toy store?"Ally asked.
"Sure sweetie, she said with a smile as she gently squeezed her daughter's hand as they began to make their way to the toy store. However, when they started walking, she heard two voices. The voices belonged to the two biggest gossips in town. Claire Josephs and Abigal Peters.
"It's true. Heard it myself this morning. Ryan Noisom is home,"Abigal Peters insisted. Melody froze in her tracks and then ducked into the nearest store, it was a clothing store. She watched as Abigal and Claire went past, without seeing her. She was in shock. Ryan was home? Why was he home? Was he done? She forced herself to start breathing again. Besides, Ally was tugging on her arm. Melody followed Ally's lead as Ally pulled her to the little girl clothes department. The Barbie clothes had been what had caught Ally's attention. She tried to pay attention to what her little girl was doing, but inside her head, it was chaos. Just hearing Ryan's name from someone else sent shivers down her spine. She thought about him every day, but it was different now because he was actually coming home. And it scared the hell out of her. She'd just have to avoid him at all costs, right? She didn't want to give Charles any reason to get angry. That's just what she'd have to do. It didn't matter that she wanted to see him. It didn't matter that she wanted to see how he was, how successful he'd been. If she could see how successful and happy he was, giving him up wouldn't be for nothing right? And then maybe she wouldn't feel so guilty. She would still be in love with him, but there was nothing she could do about that right? God. This was a huge mess. Her life was a mess. It had been a mess since that day she'd walked away from Ryan.
