APPEARANCE
HAIR: A dark brown, which looks slightly red in sunlight.
EYES: Aqua
HEIGHT: 5’5’’
WEIGHT: 120 pounds.
DETAILED:
On first impression, Liberty tends to strike people as being quiet and almost antisocial…as well as on the second impression, third, fourth etc. The reason for this being she is not much of a speaker, and almost seems afraid of speaking—especially when many persons are present. Should there be any class presentations she usually never makes eye contact and speaks in a soft voice that her classmates would have to strain to hear. Her long, dark hair plays to her advantage here, as while she does not allow it to cover her face (if it falls in her face that irks her quite a lot), she usually wears it loose so that it sort of surrounds her face almost like a shield. She does not like people to see her face and especially her eyes, as she knows that she is the type of person w ho ‘wears her heart on her sleeve’, and is afraid that people can read her like a book. Most times though Liberty has mastered the art of wearing a mask on her face, so that if she is upset about something no one really notices.
Her quiet personality is very much reflected in her appearance, and this is the aura she usually gives out. To the few people who have gotten to be her friend though may see her differently, though to be honest due to this shy appearance not very many people do. One glance at her light green eyes however, which is reminiscent of the aquamarine gemstone, usually reveals her true friendliness to those who take the time to notice though. Only when someone takes the time to talk to her, even just for a moment, it is obvious that she is a friendly person who is more than open to a certain extent. She especially loves to help people. Maybe to compensate for her lack of contributing to people’s lives in terms of friendship, she enjoys helping in any way she can. She is more than approachable in this way.
Liberty is not the type of girl to spend time on her appearance as a typical daily routine. She wakes up in the morning, freshens up, puts on her school robes (while she is in school anyway) and the most she may do is put something on her lips (usually chap stick) to keep it moisturized- if she doesn’t, it gets extremely dry and chapped and painful. England is a cold country after all. She has naturally thick eyelashes that make it look as if she always has on mascara and a little eyeliner, though she doesn’t. To be honest, she doesn’t even comb her hair. She just passes her fingers through it to tidy it and leaves it loose. Because of this her hair always has a slight frizz to it, and a naturally tousled untidy look. During winter and on cold days, her cheeks and forehead acquire a pinkish look on her pale complexion. Only for special occasions does she take more care with her appearance.
Body-wise, she has over the past few years developed more feminine curves, no more or less than the average girl her age. This usually doesn’t even show anyway though, as her school uniform wasn’t exactly designed to show of female figures. When she is out of her school robes though it is more noticeable- but unless someone has seen her outside of school, or after class hours (when she’s usually in her common room or dormitory), they’re not likely to have noticed this. She is average in build, height and weight, though she is probably more fit than most girls her age. She has a secret love for quidditch, and this tends to keep her fit. However she has never been brave enough to try out for the team.

PERSONALITY
[li]Hogwarts
She misses her mother desperately, but all the same Hogwarts has been more a home to her than anywhere else she's known. She is more at peace in her dormitory, common room or even a quiet corner of the library than at the house she lives in.
[/li][li]Reading
Ever since she could remember, she has always love reading. There were days when she would read from sun up to sun down- she would sleep with the book next to her, read while she was eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and do nothing else the entire day.
[/li][li]Writing
Liberty loved escaping into the world of books from a young age. She soon realized that she also loved creating those worlds, and loves to write but mostly fiction, like a story- certainly not the what you’d read in her school books or anything like that.
[/li][li]History
This is the reason why she tends to be very good at History of Magic. In her first year, she knew all of the material before she was even enrolled in the school. As a child, she didn’t go to school for a few years and so she had all the time in the world to read. She read up quite a lot about the History of Magic (and even the muggle world, and how the two were interlinked at times) and enjoyed it. If somehow gave her a strange sense of stability.
[/li][li]Adventure
Being quiet all the time actually gets boring quickly. She longs for adventure, even to get in trouble (though it might terrify her at first). She even has a burning desire to explore the Forbidden forest, or find a way to breathe underwater and jump into the Lake and see what it’s like under there- both scenarios seems temping. Whether she would admit it or not the girl has a taste for danger.
[/li][li]Rain
She likes the rain. She loves the sound, smell and just overall atmosphere and mood of it. Whether it’s curled up by a window or in bed with a book on a rainy day, or even outside feeling the rain fall down on her, she loves it.
[/li][li]Peace
She loves peace and quiet. She hates seeing two people argue, or arguing with someone especially if it’s someone she cares about. It just tears her apart.
[/li][li]Chocolate
Chocolate just always seem to make her feel more upbeat, vibrant and on her down days it’s comforting to her to just sit with a box or chocolates (or a bar of chocolate) and just eat out the whole thing mindlessly.
[/li][li]Laughing
It’s actually not often you see a true laugh escape her lips, but when it does she feels amazing. There’s just something about laughter, she’s not sure what that lifts her spirits immensely.
[/li][li]Nature
She loves nature- everything about it. It’s natural, peaceful, and just.. amazing. She could never truly find words to describe her love for nature.
DISLIKES:
[/li][li]Crowds
Loud, noisy, crowded places are definitely not to her liking. She hates parties and large social gatherings for the most part, and is far more content with quiet surroundings.
[/li][li]Ignorance
She hates when people are ignorant about something that to her, they should know about. She hates it even more when they pretend to know everything about it.
[/li][li]Humid Weather
She hates it more than any other type of weather- she even prefers bitter cold winter to humidity.
[/li][li]Curiosity
Her curiousity tends to be her undoing a lot of the time. If she gets curious about something, it bugs her for the rest her life (no, literally), until she finds out more about it and satisfies her curiousity.
[/li][li]Unfaithfulness
In relationships. She hates when one person is unfaithful to the other and can’t bring her mind to understand why or how someone could/would do this. Especially in marriage.
[/li][li]Betrayal
She hates when someone betrays another- whether it be by lying, disloyalty, no matter what it is she can’t stand it.
[/li][li]Flings
To her, they’re stupid and senseless.
[/li][li]Fear
While she is no coward, she is fearful about a lot of things, and this holds her back a lot of the time. Mostly in the terms of speaking to people, speaking to crowds, and basically just stepping out of her shell.
[/li][li]Her transparent personality
She knows that If someone takes the time to get to know her, she’s pretty easy to read and would probably be unable to hide anything from them. She is a secretive person, and her lack of acting skills contradicts this much to her annoyance.
[/li][li]Stupidity
This may sound unfair, but if someone does something extremely stupid that’s hurtful to someone else, she’s not likely to take a liking to them anytime soon-even if the person didn’t do it intentionally.
[/li][li]Abuse
Whatever form of abuse it may be, whether it’s domestic or otherwise.
[/li][li]Muggle clothes
She grow up with a magical background, and so though she’s seen it and some of the girls at school seem pretty taken up with muggle clothing, she never took a liking to it herself. It’s so.. different, and odd and stands out in the magical world in her opinion. She prefers to blend in safely and comfortably with her robes.
[/li][li]Bullying
She hates to see someone making fun of or taking advantage of someone else.. especially in more serious cares, for example making fun of someone who’s parent died or who’s sick. Where’d the humanity go?
STRENGTHS:
[/li][li]Patience
Most of the time she is a very patient person, though of course not perfectly so. While she may be impatient at times, she usually would never make a fuss about having to wait, especially about measly things like waiting in line. She doesn't understand the point in complaining.
[/li][li]Knowledge
Due majorly to her love of reading, Libby knows a lot of things. If she hears about something she doesn't know, she is likely to read up on it at some later point. Her knowledge is quite extensive because of this, a bit more than the average fifteen year old witch but not amazingly so.
[/li][li]Not Easily Angered
Being a naturally calm, peaceful person, it would take a lot to get her really worked up or angry about something. Her emotions would have to be running very high for some reason. This also helps her thoughts to be clearer.
[/li][li]Dueling
As she is not easily angered during a duel, and knows quite a few spells she is a fair dueler.
[/li][li]Physically Fit
Libby has a secret love for Quidditch, which tends to keep her pretty fit. She also loves running, she finds solace in it for a reason she never understood.
WEAKNESSES:
[/li][li]Kind Hearted
She is very kind hearted...to the point of being naïve sometimes. This makes her more open to being hurt, as well as being taken advantage of.
[/li][li]Lazy
She is rather lazy, with the exception of reading. Everything else due to her lazyness she tends to procrastinate over it. Not to mention she’s quite messy for a girl. Not disgustingly so, but still quite messy.
[/li][li]Shy
She is a very shy person, and while she has the potential to do many things, she finds herself never doing it. The shyness is sort of a hedge in her life.
[/li][li]Lack of confidence/Insecure
Libby isn't the most confident person around.. she doesn't hate herself or anything like that, but she gets nervous very easily. If she's alone in a public place by herself, she fidgets around a lot and feels self conscious all the time(with the exception of her common room).
[/li][li]Fear
She is fearful about many things- especially opening up to people. She's more than willing to be friendly, but to say she'd tell them personal things about herself?.. nope.
[/li][li]Bitter about certain things.
Libby is very bitter about some of her more painful memories of the past. She still hasn't gotten over them.
[/li][li]Flirting.
It seems to come naturally to most girls her age, but she can’t ‘flirt’ to save her life.
ERISED: If Libby were to look into the mirror of erised, she would see herself more socially comfortable, accepted, surrounded by friends and family who love her. It wouldn’t be very many people though, she doesn’t desire popularity- far from it. Just a few true, loyal individuals in her life would do.
BOGGART: Finally overcoming her shyness/fear/insecurities and stepping out of her shell... only to be rejected.
DEMENTOR: Her parents arguing: "The was only once instance in her entire past that Libby could remember her parents arguing, and it was a memory that she refused to linger on for even a second- she pushes it away best she could to the corners of her mind."
DETAILED:
Libby isn’t the type to speak much. When she does speak, it is only if she has something good to say. She is very good at holding her tongue, and almost never seen saying a bad or spiteful word about someone else. Only if her emotions are running extremely high this might occur. She is more of a peacemaker than one to initiate an argument. If Libby explodes at someone, it would probably be best to take it seriously as it would take a lot to get that kind of reaction from her. It's not that she never speaks or anything though, she can carry on a conversation well enough. Just she is usually a very reserved person, especially when it comes to speaking too much about herself. She is however an excellent listener, and if someone comes to her with a worry of some sort she tries her best to give advice, lessen it and help them feel better.
Needless to say, Libby is unintentionally suppressing herself more than she imagines. Her life lacks memorable experiences and adventures, that many other students at Hogwarts seem to find one way or the other. The most she's ever broken the rules and came close to getting in trouble was probably one night she went wandering about the corridors in the dark, just thinking, and was actually heading outdoors when she heard the caretakers voice in the distance. She panicked and ended up pulling a tapestry, as that was the nearest thing to her, and to her surprise it opened and she hid in there as the voice grew closer and then faded away. She then took to running as quick as she could back to her common room. Once she was safe inside, her heart felt as if it were beating a million miles an hour, she was breathless and even shaking slightly- and she felt great. She loved the rush. If she hadn't been so shy, she would of probably been a trouble maker at heart. Ever since that midnight excursion she has had a longing for more adventure. This was Hogwarts! Life at Hogwarts was NOT supposed to be as boring as hers was. In the week or so that followed her dreams consisted mostly of exploring the forbidden forest or the lake.
Being a quick-thinker has always been natural for Libby. In tight situations many people may freeze up or not be able to think clearly, but not Libby. She was always able to think clearly and quickly no matter what situation she was in. This, combined with her love for reading always made her mother say that her daughter was a little Ravenclaw. Her mother herself had been in Hufflepuff, and her father in Gryffindor (though she doesn't understand how), and always impressed on Libby that it didn't matter which house she was sorted into, that all were equal and she'd be proud either way. When she got into Hogwarts, she did find the work in first year to be easy. She knew most of it, but only spoke in class when called upon. During exams, once or twice she found herself purposefully ensuring that a few of her answers were wrong so that she wouldn't top the class. After first year things got more challenging for her though, just as for every other student.
Libby is a very kind person. She's seen harsh treatment, and she doesn't like it. She knows what it feels like to be put down by someone, and she doesn't like it. She recognised from a young age that people can have a very strong and significant impact on each others lives, and decided that she would try her best to have only positive impacts on those around her. She knows she will fail sometimes, but she would still try. In her eyes, the world is made up of two types of people- ones who build up others, and ones who break them down. She wanted to be a builder, not a destroyer. She is very kind and soft-hearted because of this, compassionate and empathic to those around her. This also opens her up to hurt and disappointment, when she realises that many people do not see things the way she does.

HISTORY
MOTHER: Lillithaniel Eve Edenway, 40, Half-blood.
FATHER: Mark Edenway, 43, Pureblood.
SIBLINGS: None.
DETAILED:
Lillithaniel Edenway[nee Hastleter] came from a more muggle background than magical. Her mom was a pure-blooded witch, her dad a muggleborn, and her mom died when she was still a baby. Her dad, devastated, reverted back to the muggle world in an attempt to move on which he didn’t feel he could do successfully in the wizarding world, as it was her mother who had taught him to love magic. He did tell her about her magical lineage on her mom’s side though, so when her Hogwarts letter came it was no surprise.
Mark Edenway came from a wealthy, pure-blooded family. His parents, mainly his mother though did not believe in the least the whole ‘purer blood being better’ mindset that most families like their seemed to have. After Mark went away to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin however, she saw that belief emerging in her son and didn’t like it one bit. As if to try and take it away she arranged for him to marry one of her friend’s daughters, Lillithaniel who seemed like a nice enough girl and was not pure-blood and even had a more muggle background as a child. That was her mistake, one that had terrible consequences for the poor girl.
While he did not mind it that much at first (though it did bother him, he was willing to do it for his mother), the friends Mark had made all seemed to prefer purebloods marring purebloods, and so often humiliated him for his marriage to Lillithaniel. As a result he grew to resent it, and as she was not as knowledgeable about the magical world as he was, and still loved some things about muggle lifestyle, he resented that too. In reality though, he resented himself most of all. Soon he began to find more things to resent about her. He lapsed into a lifestyle of drinking in an attempt to escape from this. By that time, he’d had a 2 year old daughter.
Liberty Edenway was born to the mismatched couple on January 21th, 1996. For that moment, for that one moment, they felt like the happily married couple they should have been. In the weeks that followed the two finally felt like family, their house felt like home, and there was love in the atmosphere. That soon ended though when after a sleepless, tiring weekend Mark went back out to work on a Monday and his best friend told him one day that he had given birth to ‘scum’, and went on to give him a torturing speech about the ‘sin’ he had committed. Mark, angered at his friend, himself, his wife, even his daughter and the world in general and fell back into his old destructive lifestyle.
Needless to say, while it definitely was not the worst, Lillithaniel and Libby didn’t have the happiest lives. There was only one instance where Mark physically abused her mother and a few where she got ‘punished’ too, but it was never serious enough to have to go to St. Mungos or anything like that, and wands were never drawn. Verbal abuse, however, was very common. She heard a few things about Merlin that scarred her for life. He did insist that they have as little as possible to do with the muggle world and she rarely even saw her grandfather (on her mother’s side) because he ‘lived like those scumbag muggles’. Only a few times when her dad was at work, her mom risked to sneak her out. She could tell her grandfather knew something was up, and always watched her mother with great concern, but she never told him about what was happening.
Usually, Lillithaniel stayed quiet. She took all the abuse, nor did she ever try to leave him- possibly because of fear that he would find her and force her to return or do Merlin knows what. Still, she never defended herself and took all the insults thrown, though at night Liberty would hear her crying, a heartbreaking sound and something that would forever haunt her. Why did her mom do that? For her daughter.. for Liberty. If she couldn’t leave, she didn’t want her daughter to have two parents that argued all the time, and for tat Libby would always love and admire her mother. The was only once instance in her entire past that Libby could remember her parents arguing, and it was a memory that she refused to linger on for even a second- she pushes it away best she could to the corners of her mind.
When her Hogwarts letter came, Liberty was overjoyed though she did not show it and she knew her mother was happy for her too. It was an escape for her, at long last. When she arrived at Hogwarts though, or to be more specific, from the moment she was on platform 9 3/4, she got the shock of her life. As a result of her dad’s behavior, Libby had never had much experience concerning social life. She wasn’t used to being around people outside of her family, and didn’t even have any siblings. She didn’t know how to approach people, talk to them, or make friends. Over the years, this improved slightly. She learnt how to talk to people more, but was still very reserved, quiet and shy.

RP SAMPLE:
[this is from a marauder era rp where I played Andromeda Tonks]
Andromeda ran a silver brush through her long, silky hair, as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. The person she saw looked so much different from who she was just a year ago. For one she was wearing muggle night-clothes, which is something she would've been thrown out of her parents house for doing. Her hair was also now waist-length, which had always been something Narcissa had told her to do; since childhood Narcissa had absolutely adored Andy's hair and always thought it would look even prettier at waist length. The most noticeable difference in her appearance though was how much more relaxed she looked, as if a heavy weight had been lifted off her shoulders, and also a bright spark-like look that was in her eyes and seemed to emanate from every part of her being. Her face didn't always have a smile, but when she did smile it was contagious to those watching her and seemed to light up her entire face, changing her features in such a way it seemed impossible she could be even remotely related to Bellatrix.
The change was definitely caused by her leaving her family. She didn't regret it, not one little bit. She loved her life now which was something she definitely couldn't say when she with her the Blacks. There was some things she did miss though. She hesitated for a moment before putting down the brush and walking over to a drawer beside her bed. Opening it, she gently placed her hand inside of it and took out a framed picture. The transparent frame seemed to have have captured memories playing inside of it. The picture though brought tears to her eyes. It was a picture of Narcissa and Andromeda on one of the exquisite green chairs in their mansion. It was an arm chair but Narcissa was sitting normally on it, while Andromeda propped up on the edge and leaning all the way across onto the other end of the chair. It was a very sisterly picture as they had been looking through album's of past Christmas parties that the Blacks held and were both laughing at their aunt's face in one of the photos. Bella had sneaked up on them as they were laughing and took a picture.
When she was packing the important things before she ran away, she didn't know what made her do it but she couldn't help but take up the picture. It was at that moment when she was about to leave she truly realised there was one person in her family other than Sirius who had made it all the way to her heart, and stuck there, someone who extremely was important to her. That person just happened to be her younger sister, who was loyal to their family. It was just how Narcissa was, and as much as Andromeda hated it she was forced apart from her sister as well. Holding onto the picture she began to cry bitter tears, tears she had held back since the day she left. If there was one thing she thought she would never do it was this. It wasn't as if she had never loved her family. She did love some of them deeply, and she knew that, it was just with Narcissa she felt as if she had left her behind alone to cope with everything herself. First Andromeda had left, and as they were the only ones in the family who really thought emotions mattered a lot, they were the ones to comfort Narcissa when they thought she was bottling it all up too much.
Now though, Sirius was gone as was she. How was Narcissa coping? Most people had thought her little sister was just a feebler duplicate of Bellatrix until they got to know her, and Andy did know her sister and she knew while she did have her evil ways, she cared. She felt emotions and had shown them to Andromeda, which would explain the feelings of guilt at leaving that gaping hole in her sister's life. Thinking about it, she still didn't regret her choice, and doubted she ever would. She just wished that this part could be easier.
