It wasn't always like this. Very vaguely, distant, I remember blue sky, water as far as the eye can see, walls that vanished into the clouds. Our civilizations were at their peak then, the golden age, before people did more than simply exist. Sheogh used to be a refuge, a place where one can begin again, live a second time and never make the same mistakes they did then. All Kazan lived in harmony, worked together, lived for the better.
And then they came. Claiming that they wished to make the war layers a better place for everyone, they came and began the Azure Paladins, a gang aimed at enforcing the law the Demon Sovereign laid down. Soon they split, into the Dust Dragons and the Crimson Snakes. And peace became a thing long forgotten. Now, it is an endless wasteland that I see. Before me is a realm torn between one power and another, between one vision and the next. Our refuge has become a hell of our own creation, right before my eyes.
It wasn't always like this. So why is it now?
