DETAILED: Max is much like any other teenage boy in the sense that although he holds an attractive appearance, he does suffer from inconsistencies all around. His mature face, offering eyes of a dark ocean blue; flecks of silver/gray appear upon a closer look, contrast his tan skin from being outside more often than usual. His forehead is home to multiple beauty marks that were inherited most apparently from his mother's side of the family. A dark pre-pubescent stubble covers his face and wraps around his mouth. The same color is seen in the highlights of Maxwell's dark brown hair, nearly black. His nose is slightly tilted to the left, the result of a broom race gone awry, but luckily it is not the first thing someone notices when consulting him in a simple conversation. He is not one to try new things when it comes to his hair, for the thought of changing something that seems perfectly good confuses him. Some mornings it takes 3 minutes, others 30, but his hair looks almost the exact same every day through hard work and a little help from the wondrous world of wizarding haircare products like Wizzcomes Whispy Hair Cream.
Max's body is where things start to get awkward. With hands suitable for a 21 year old man, but arms that don't quite match, coupled with a seemingly normal sized torso and legs that seem to stretch on forever, it would be a rarity to find Max not completely clothed for he is very self conscious of how he looks. Luckily for him, metabolism and athleticism have left him with a body that is healthy. His weight being slightly above normal does not bother him, so much as his disproportionately sized body that only he seems to take serous notice of. Needless to say, his parent's awkward British Pureblood lineage did not show any mercy on him during his spout of puberty, and it seems like it is not going to hold back at all for whatever transformations might be coming.
As for clothing, he likes to keep it simple. Basic colors coupled with dark pants or jeans usually does the trick, a pair of basic sneakers as well. He is most commonly scene in his wizard robes put on neatly, his house badge perfectly straight and centered above his heart and a messenger bag placed neatly across his shoulders. Appearance is very important to him, and it shows.

DEMENTOR: While flying with his sister at his family's cottage, a playful physical confrontation in the air went very wrong and sent the 10 year-old Matt falling into the middle of a rushing river that he struggled to breathe in for about a minute before going unconscious. He awoke in his sisters arms a few moments later and has hated water ever since.
DETAILED: The best way to describe Max would be a complete socialite. He quickly attaches himself to people for multiple reasons, friendships, relationships, etc. Although he enjoys being a social creature, he is not one to necessarily value popularity, quite contrary, he would much rather spend time with 2 really good friends as opposed to multiple acquaintances. He just hates spending time with himself, and will go out of his way to be around someone else at any given chance, even if its only for a moment. His warm personality is definitely his most attractive feature and his ability to take control of situations makes him not only a pleasure to be around for most, but gives people comfort as well. This is probably why Max does so well on the Quidditch pitch, but don't get me wrong. All of these personality traits do have their downsides.
Maxwell's ongoing socialization with those around him often can confuse him. Most would refer to this as 'mixed signals' but Max has difficulties in drawing clear lines between acquaintances, friends and more than that. This often leaves him feeling a bit vulnerable, confused and sends him into small waves of high school drama that inevitably every teen experiences. The irony of his romantic situation is that he fears rejection, and therefore hates setting himself up for rejection. He's the type of guy that would have a girlfriend, and do everything with her that he would with a girlfriend, but refuse to accept the label so when things go wrong, he doesn't have to own it. He would never admit this in person, but Max's troubled history with significant others is only proof of this teen's fear of commitment. Fortunately, his optimism and positivity easily distract others from his flaws, which he definitely would not complain about.
Max's distaste for his father is not something that he advertises, for his dad plays a large role in the wizarding community and the Waller's are a well-known Pure-blood family in Britain. However, his dad's continued appraisal of Lillian's achievements and success as a young woman feed into Maxwell's need to feel good enough. His father often pressures Max to do things he doesn't want to, the largest being a job in the Ministry. This continued pressure and lack of support leaves Matt feeling torn and stressed whenever confronted by his dad and turns into negative feelings towards him.

DETAILED: Both Maxwell's parents come from long lines of British Pureblood wizard families. His mother comes from the wizard hamlet of Haddrian, while his father from Central London. While Mitchell was orphaned at a young age through an attack on his wealthy family on a trip to Spain while he was at Hogwarts, Dorothy grew up with a close family with a middle class lifestyle for the majority of her youth. The two attended Hogwarts in the same year, Dorothy wearing yellow and Mitchell wearing blue, but knew almost nothing of each other. They didn't actually meet until their graduation day from Hogwarts, when the two congratulated each other on their success and Mitchell invited her to tea. After a few years of casual dating he finally proposed and they married a year later. Dorothy moved into Mitchell's home, a large beautiful building disguised as a downtown business to Muggle eyes. Although the Ward's held large sums of money, they only ever used what they needed, and Dorothy is well-known for her generous donations to St. Mungo's.
Mitchell was often consumed by his work at the Ministry of Magic with his significant role in the Department of International Magical Cooperation where he assists in communications with other wizard governments throughout the globe, particularly other European ones. This gives his family the opportunity to travel quite frequently while he works. Dorothy works as one of 7 people on the European Wizarding Financial Council (WFC) in which she contributes to conversations of economics and the avoidance of financial woes in the wizarding community. Both jobs require frequent work hours, but with the kids a lot older now, it would seem that home life and work life are a bit more balanced now.
Kalyna was the Waller's first child. Now aged 22 and working as an intern at the Daily Prophet in London, she did exceptionally well in school as a Ravenclaw like her father. She spent a majority of her time organizing school dances and other social events, and eventually became a Prefect for the house that she loved. Her intelligence and thirst for knowledge and writing helped her take her first steps into the Daily Prophet where she now helps review articles and format the daily paper. She had just left Hogwarts by the time Maxwell had been accepted, but the brother-sister connection they share is very strong, and the two are very very close. Kalyna is currently dating her long-term boyfriend of 5 years, Jonathan Cormier, a french wizard whom transferred to Hogwarts in his Second Year. The young couple live together in a Central London condo not too far off from the Ministry of Magic.

It was weird that Matthew and Brennan found themselves being such good friends. Sure, they shared the same house, and year, and boarding room, and classes, and...okay, so maybe it wasn't so weird to the naked eye, but personality wise, they were definitely different. Matt could be seen as something like the older brother in most ways. Mature, thinks things through usually, but not afraid to take a chance. Another thing, Matt never found himself swooning over girls. He wasn't unattracted to them, he just wanted to find the right one first. A relationship wasn't something Matt often found himself in, mostly because they usually involved too much work and resulted in too much drama. Brennan, well he definitely wouldn't say no to a pretty lady, or so Matt thought from past experiences.
"Haha. What girls? Sorry mate, but the nurse in the Hospital Wing doesn't count. She doesn't like you, it's her job to make you feel better!" He laughed with a small nudge. A couple girls from Hufflepuff in their second or third year walked behind the rowdy boys during their conversation and giggled obnoxiously. "Oh." Matt whispered to Brennan. "Those girls."
"The summer was completely bogus." Matt complained. "My father wouldn't let me out of the house at all. Something about 'Taking responsibility for my actions throughout the school term." He groaned sarcastically. Although he loved his father a lot, Matt often found him to be a bit stiff towards him, probably because he was the only child around the house with his sister gone.
The problem Matthew had with his father was not a personality contrast, it was a priority contrast. His father worked in the Ministry, although Matt wouldn't be able to tell you what it is his father does exactly. All he knew was that his dad was a bit more strict than your average father. Enough said.
"I literally read The Prophet and ate chocolate frogs, except for the 2 weeks I spent in Greece with my sister." He added. He loved his older sister, who now wrote for the Daily Prophet. She had a keen interest in wizarding history and politics, and always invited Matt on her investigation trips to major wizarding communities and museums all over the world.
"How about you mate?" Taking note of large amount of food on his plate. "Do a lot of...jogging? Ha ha!"
