[/b]Ryan Jordan Monroe
GENERAL INFORMATION
NICKNAME(S):Rye, Jordan, Jord, Monroe, Roe
DATE OF BIRTH:July 26th
AGE:Seventeen
YEAR:Seventh
HOUSE:Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin
LINEAGE:Half
WAND: rosewood, dragon heart string, 8 inches
[/ul]
APPEARANCE
HAIR: Dark Brown
EYES: Brown
HEIGHT:5'10
WEIGHT: 170 lbs
DETAILED:Ryan isn't exactly tall, at least not for a guy. But he's stocky. He's definitely got the quidditch player build. Good thing he plays quidditch. His hair grows rather fast. In years past he would keep it nice and trimmed. And he would then spike it up. This year he has taken to it being a little shaggy. Though not messy or anything. He's one of those guys like in love with his hair so he never wants it messy.
His eyes are brown, just like his hair. They have appeared darker lately. He's always had a bunch of eyebrows. His mother actually started plucking his eyebrows when he was fifteen because they would get all weird and sqewamposed if she didn't. So he still keeps them nice, as a habit probably.
Ryan is of fair skin and has a hard time tanning, though it becomes easier in the summer for him to do so. He's not into having any piercings. He doesn't care if other guys choose to do so, but he's just not into it himself. He does however have a tattoo. It's of a dragon on the back of his left calf. He got it kind of as a dare thing. But he likes it.
When he's not in uniform, he likes to wear comfortable clothing, though he isn't opposed to wearing button down shirts and looking nice when the occassion calls for it. Basically, he's always cared about his appearance because in years past it was always important to him to be able to woo the girls and keep up with the best of them.

DETAILED:
Smart:He's extremely smart. He's been reading muggle books and learning all there is to know about magic since the time he could crawl since that was important to his parents. His problem is that he doesn't apply himself to those subjects he doesn't really care about like herbology and potions. He writes off subjects he doesn't like as if they're not important at all. And in those subjects he doesn't care about, he tends to bring a muggle book and make notes in the margins and pay more attention to that then the teacher. Or at least, before the death of Alyssa he was like that. Now he studies way more then he ever did to try to get her off his mind. And that includes in subjects he doesn't really care one whit about.
Competitive:Ryan is very competitive. When he plays a game, he sets out to be the best. And he's especially competitive when it comes to quidditch. Oh, he's a good sport when his team loses, but he does everything he can to win, without cheating of course.
Stubborn:Extremely stubborn. When he's got his mind made up, there's really no changing it. And when he thinks he's right, he has a hard time listening to the opinions of others. Even when they're the ones who are in actuality, the right ones.
Loyal: Once he's your friend, you've pretty much got a friend for life. He would do pretty much anything for his friends and he's always there for his friends with that shoulder if they need it.
Daring:Rye can be a bit stupid. He never really turns down a dare. And he's never really afraid to try anything at least once. But he's landed himself in loads of trouble before because of it.
Angry:Since he lost Alyssa, he's been angry and bitter and he's got a temper. He had a temper before the loss of his best friend, but now any slight provoction will bring that temper out.
Bitter:He's extremely bitter about the loss of Alyssa. He's bitter because she's gone and he never told her how he felt about her. He only realized that he had feelings for her a few months before her death, and never quite got up the courage to tell her how he felt, and he definitely regrets it now.
Determined:He's been in love with dragons since the time he was just a boy and he always wanted to go off and study dragons and he's determined to reach that goal. He's always been good with animals and creatures and so he's determined that after this year he will reach his goals.
Sees the good in other people:Once upon a time Ryan wasn't so good at doing this. Alyssa was always that person who saw the good in everything and brought it out in people. And he's become that way himself. He thinks that there is good in every single person and believes in giving them second chances.
Charming:There's no way that he even tries to be charming to girls or whatever since he's only got his mind on the dead girl that he's still in love with. He was definitely charming before he realized he loved Alyssa in a flirty way. Now he's charming in not so much a flirty way, but he's always got a kind word for anyone and is always there for the girls that are his friends and gives them compliments and such.

HISTORY
MOTHER:Jessica, Forty, muggle
FATHER:Kaleb, Forty-four, pureblood
SIBLINGS:None
DETAILED:
Ryan was born in Sidney Australia to a muggle and a wizard. His father Kaleb fell for Jessica even though he'd always been encouraged by his parents to fall for another pureblood. But Jess moved out here to go to school in London when she was seventeen and they met in London. Kaleb was instantly smitten and he didn't care what his parents thought, he was going to marry her. And so they married after a brief whirlwind romance. He had told her that he was a wizard only after a couple weeks of them dating and she'd been okay with it, so he'd figured that she was a keeper.
They moved to Australia to be closer to her mom and to put more distance between them and his parents. That's where Ryan was born, in Sidney Australia. When he was eight they moved back to London since he got a job in the ministry and didn't want to have to apparate all the time. He wanted to be close to where he worked, in the thick of things.
That was when Ryan met his muggle best friend, Alyssa. She lived right next door and they quickly became inseprable. Ryan's mother was a firm believer in Ryan going to muggle school and knowing as much about them as possible. She wanted him to fit into the muggle world as well as the wizarding world. So he attended school with Alyssa and spent pretty much all of his time with her. When he was eleven he got his letter from Hogwarts. But he wasn't all that excited to go. He didn't want to be separated from Alyssa.
But, he came anyway and he was sorted into his house and quickly grew to love everything about Hogwarts. He loved the castle, he loved quidditch. He loved meeting new people and making new friends. But Alyssa was still his best friend. So he always looked forward to summers when they spent almost every waking moment together. When he was thirteen she found out about the wizarding world and him being a wizard. But she just thought it was cool and constantly asked him questions, just wanting to understand.
Though Ryan always missed her when he was at Hogwarts, he really did enjoy his time in the castle. It quickly became evident that he was a smart kid. Though he didn't really apply himself as much to those subjects he didn't care for, quickly writing them off as classes that didn't matter much since he didn't like them. But his love for animals grew in care of magical creatures and he knew he wanted to be around dragons when he grew up. His love for animals came from living on a ranch in Australia with his grandmother and tending to all those animals.
Ryan was always a good friend, and smart. Though he also tended to get into trouble as well. He was never one to say no to a dare and he would do things without thinking them all the way through, so he's no stranger to the hospital wing or to detentions either. But he loves the castle, even now he loves it so much.
When Ryan and Alyssa were fifteen at the end of his fifth year, she sent him an owl gushing about this quarterback at her muggle high-school. Before that Ryan hadn't really thought too much about his feelings for her. She was simply his best friend, that's all there was to it. And he had actually become quite the ladies man around Hogwarts enjoying flirting with all the ladies and going out on dates. But after finding out that she was going out with this other guy, he realized how much he did in fact, like her.
That summer when he got back to his place, he had to endure her and her new guy together. She didn't have as much time for him. He wanted to tell her that he was the guy for her, but at the same time, she was happy. She was dating a normal muggle boy. Ryan had never wanted to be a muggle as badly as he did then. But when it came time for him to go back to school again, he was relieved. He would no longer have to put up with seeing her in the arms of someone else.
October, close to Halloween and Ryan received the news. Alyssa's hotshot boyfriend had been drinking and driving, and had killed them both in a car accident. And Ryan's whole world was shattered. The person he loved more than anything else in this world was now gone, and there was nothing he could do about it. And though he knows that it's not really his fault that she's gone, he does blame himself. He always wonders if he would have told her how he felt about her, if she would have chosen him over her hotshot quarterback, and then maybe she would not have been in that car with him that fateful October evening.
Now Ryan is only the shell of the man that he used to be. He definitely does a lot more studying now then he ever did. Though he was always a good student, at least in the subjects he cared about. And though he has been trying to move on, he definitely always compares all the girls he comes in contact with Alyssa and they always come up lacking.
He's looking forward to graduating Hogwarts and becoming a dragon trainer. He's thinking that might help him learn to let go of Alyssa a little more. But in the meantime, he is trying to enjoy his last year of Hogwarts, and his last year of Quidditch. Though it is difficult for him and he's definitely not as outgoing and fun as he used to be.

QUESTIONS:Nope.
RP SAMPLE:
Elizabeth was half-asleep when she heard the knock on the door. A bit early for room service. It was only nine. She'd been trying to wake up anyway. Last night she hadn't had a good night's sleep since she'd been busy worrying about everything with Kadie. She had not had a good week. Sure, Karen and her brother-in-law had allowed her to come to the house everyday. But Kadie was refusing to cooperate. Not that she could really blame her. But a week in this place was plenty long enough and she was longing to go back to New York.
Even though her reputation was mostly in tatters, she could build it up. Besides, it was her husband not her that had done those underhanded things. After she was free of Alex she would look like a jilted wife and people would feel sorry for her. She didn't much like people feeling sorry for her, but at least her reputation would be in tact. She groaned and then got up and slipped a robe on. "Just a minute!"She called and then went into the bathroom to make sure that her hair wasn't too bad. She quickly ran a brush through it. Liz always liked to look her best whenever seeing people. It was just how she was. Of course, she didn't have time to put on makeup or put on something better. So her flimsy robe would have to do. They hadn't given her much warning so it was their fault.
She was quite irritable about it as she swung open the door. She must have felt much like Kadie had felt opening the door to her as she saw her husband standing at the door. But she really shouldn't have been surprised. The surprise and the shock quickly gave way to anger."If you think you're here to get Kadie on your side in all of this, you are mistaken. She is going to come back to New York with me, and we're going to be rid of you Alex Taylor. And I cannot wait for that day to arrive,"she said angrily as she folded her arms.
If Alex wanted a fight, then a fight she would give him. She hadn't had any luck with Kadie, but he didn't have to know that. She could even pretend that she and Kadie were set to leave this place anyday now. It was so like Alex to want to fight her. She knew that that was what he was probably doing here. He wanted to play hardball. He wanted to fight to get their daughter to be on his side. Well it wasn't going to happen. She was going to do whatever it took to get Kadie to be on her side in all of this, and that's that. And it would work. She wasn't the one who did stupid things in her business. She owned a successful business and didn't do underhanded things. She was honest in her dealings. So Kadie could either pick the stupid parent who had ruined himself or the successful one. That's the way she looked at it.
