doin it up, gettin er done, and having some fun Gian walked into the Transfiguration classroom for the second time this term. His first lesson had gone pretty well with much of his class turning up and many getting the review lesson done with a decent outcome. He was proud of his class so far and was interested to see what else they had in them as far as being a studious student goes. This would be the first official lesson of the new term in regards to their year since the previous lesson was a review class. He was sure that the students that walked into the classroom today would not expect what they would be doing or even consider it transfiguration. Truth was, transfiguration comes in many shapes, sizes, and displays and he was interested to show the class an example.
He put his bag on his desk with all of his supplies inside including his copies of the textbooks amung other items. He pulled out his textbooks and laid them on the desk. Then he took out a bunch of targets each with rings coloured blue, yellow, red and white. This was definitely going to be a fun lesson. He knew that students liked entertainment and liked when the class wasn't as boring. Things also seemed to stick more in their heads. He was all for fun and games and he knew this tactic worked better than reading and writing. He was once a student so he knew all the tricks and he swore when he became a teacher that he would do the best he can to engage the class and want them to come to each and every lesson.
He hung all the targets in various places around the classroom. He looked around, gave a nod to prove to himself that they were hung correctly and then sat down at his chair on the desk. He leaned back, put his arms around to the back of his head and waited for his students to show up.

Isabel hummed a melody to herself as she sat on her bed and brushed her hair. She had Transfiguration today and was very excited about it. Aside from the fun part of learning, she also thought very highly of the professor – hence the reason she put so much effort into getting ready for the class. Sadly she had missed the first lesson thanks to a visit to the infirmary because someone thought it funny to spike her drink with something unpleasant, but at least she was making it to class today.
If it had not been for the fact the uniforms were mandatory she wouldn't be wearing one – it stole the nice shape her body had. At least she could do as she pleased with her hair – and at the moment she had washed and brushed it to a perfect gleaming shine while still maintaining the natural wave and curl she was born with. While Bel didn't believe in much make-up she did have a light shade of eyeshadow on which made her deep blue eyes look all the more lush.
With a contented sigh the Ravenclaw left her dorm, messenger bag over her shoulder. She continued to hum all the way to classroom, and despite her time taken to prepare was the first one there. ”Hello Professor Matleo, how are you today?.” She asked in an unusually upbeat tone and even with a smile on her lips as she slid herself up the rows of seats. As usual she took her seat at the very front of the classroom, dead center. Usually students hated that seat, but being the avid learner she was, Bel preferred it.
Her messenger bag was laid at her feat and from it she took out all the needed supplies for class and somewhat organized them on her desk, taking care of were she placed her precious wand. As she did so she noticed all the targets hung around the room and it got her curiosity going. ”What are we doing today, sir?” Her voice showing the same curiosity that her face likely held.

Kenny had just finished getting washed up and ready for a new day as he had another lesson in one of his favorite classes Transfiguration. The young Hufflepuff student was impressed by how the first lesson turned out as he was so eager on what the next lesson was going to be as he checked to make sure his robe or his school outfits were not wrinkled up. After putting on his school clothes and robe Kenny left the common room and made his way to the halls doing the best he can to make it to Transfiguration class without being late at all, he wanted to do his best in passing his fifth year without any problems and he did not want to mess it up by making it to class tardy.
After making his way to the fifth floor area Kenny finally made it to Transfiguration as he stopped a bit to catch his breath as he knew that trying to make it early to class was tough but it was worth it as he opened the door to the classroom. As Kenny entered the class he noticed the professor was here like last time and waved at him as well as saying good morning to him before making his way to his desk. On the way he did noticed that another student was the first one here as he realized that he wasn’t the only trying to do good as he shrugged it off and gave the student a wave along with giving her a polite hello greeting. He then made his way to his desk and smiled as he took his seat while getting ready to listen to today’s lesson.
As Kenny got out the needed stuff to take notes for today he noticed that there were some colorful looking ring like objects which made him a bit curious about what the lesson was today, but he was not sure what this was all about as he got out his wand and book for this class and then he placed his bag on the ground for now. While Kenny made sure his desk was organized he was still staring at the colorful looking rings as he was really wondering why they were here, however he didn’t feel like bothering the professor for the time being as he just sat there patiently waiting for the bell to ring to begin class.

[/div] tearing love apart, Diana had always been somewhat ostentatious, but today she was more than ever. She was wearing her regular school uniform (though, as was normal, it was just a little too tight and a little too short to be absolutely acceptable). And she was wearing the most fabulous accessories - bright red lipstick that enhanced her voluminous lips, and then subtle make-up for the rest of her face. And then she had added not one or two, but three huge chunky beady necklaces around her neck - one is a bright neon green, and the other two in black above and below her - which actually complemented her green and black slytherin robes pretty well. To top it off, she'd added a belt around her waist studded with fake green emeralds. She looked absolutely improperly dressed for school (if hot) - and she absolutely loved it.
She entered the class the way she liked it, with a bang. She'd missed the first transfiguration class of the year because of a freak accident, and she had absolutely no intention of missing another one. Transfiguration was one of the few subjects that Diana was still taking - and one of the very few subjects that she actually liked - mostly because she was naturally very good with the wand and found transfiguration deceptively easy - something that she loved to show off in class. She threw open the classroom door so it hit the side of the door with a loud bang - well, that almost sufficed to be her drumroll, but not quite. What she really needed, she thought with a sigh, was a proper announcement that Diana was in the classroom.
But she could do her own announcements well enough. "Good mornin', darlings," she announced in her cheerful, loud voice to the rest of the class, before taking a seat somewhere near the middle and throwing her books on the table before her. She crossed one leg over the other and sat back in her chair. Now, if only the professor would start the class - and get it over with. Diana was dying to do magic. She had done it relentlessly all summer - she hadnt lifted a finger since she'd finally become of age to use magic without any sanctions (and while she did not care for sanctions she did not care much for Azkaban either). She'd learned apparating too, and had delighted in apparating everywhere - except that at home, there was no one she could show it to, and in school, she couldnt apparate. 436 words, picture credit safa

Was it really time for transfiguration class again? After her last, somewhat unsuccessful class (though she had done particularly well in her homework assignment) she felt almost demotivated - and that was quite unlike Arianne. Perhaps it was just that she was having a bad few days and she was feeling moody - why, only yesterday she'd been crying in the owlery when she had met the most extraordinary woman called Rose. And it seemed only a little before that when she'd been failing magnificently in charms class because she'd volunteered to show off her patronus (now especially important because of the threat of dementors near hogwarts) and had succeeded in failing not only at creating but also dispelling it. Yes, her days were not going too well.
She entered class straight behind a very flamboyantly dressed girl in slytherin who she knew just about barely. She was tempted to tell her that her attire was against section 8.1 of the student code but decided that it was class and her authority was not as important as Professor Giancarlo's - he'd deal with this if he wanted to. She instead took her place somewhere at the beginning of the class, smiled at Kenny, and Isabel, and then said a quiet and polite, "Good morning, Professor." She glanced around for a moment at the rows of colorful rings, curious, and then decided that class was about to start and she wanted to get organized, so it made sense to sit down and start to do her arrangement.
She sat down and started unpacking her belongings in her curious way - she even had an order for the way things would be removed - her books first, then her wand, and then the quill and ink. She kept her parchment inside and closed her bag - it was a light blue bag as opposed to her general black bag which she had torn last night and not yet gotten around to fixing. It annoyed her that it was a different bag. The black bag had been perfect, and she liked perfect. She sighed and opened her transfiguration book, flipping through the first few spells and wondering which one they would be doing that day - and hoping that she would be able to do it. It certainly wasnt one she had practiced or learnt.

It was time again for Transfigurations and Scarlett was rather excited! In her last class she had befriended her little fowl friend Charlie and perhaps today she's meet another? The thought of that really made her excited for her Care Of Magical Creatures classes start...
Scarlett ran her antique silver brush through her hair swiftly, tying it up in a side ponytail, her thick crimson hair curling up at the ends. She adjusted her robes in the full length mirror that had been passed down from her great grandmother and she rushed out the door slinging her bag over her shoulder as she danced through the castle til she reached the fifth floor class...
Making her way into the room Scarlett smiled to Professor Matleo with a friendly wave. She quickly scanned the room noticing a few seats filled. She couldn't help but notice the older Slytherin girl with the golden blonde hair. She was dressed to the nine, sparkles and baubles dripping from her robes. It was all too much, Scarlett appreciated and embraced uniqueness but Scarlett could tell this girl was just looking for attention. She pushed past the seat next to that girl and gracefully made her way further up the row til she saw an empty seat next to that quiet Ravenclaw she remembered from her Charms class...
Scarlett took her seat and began rifling through her bag, pulling out everything she would need for today's class. She twirled her Peacock quill between her slender fingers and smiled to the Ravenclaw next to her, "Hi there." she said sweetly. While she wasn't sure she thought her name was Arianna or something like that, but they'd never actually been introduced. She sat back in her seat and looked around the room at all the colored rings hanging and had a quizzical look on her face. Today was going to be interesting for sure!

The first lesson in this class had gone pretty well but it wasn't as hard as he knew this class could be since it was a review lesson. He had done alright in that class but being the determined person he was he needed to get everything just right before he felt one hundred percent ready for the next lesson. This was accomplished and he was set to go. What could be waiting for him in this next lesson? Could it be turning more creatures into inanimate objects? Would it be something a little more abstract? Knowing the professor, anything was fair game.
He sat down at a table near the back of the classroom and noticed that there were quite a few people inside already. Everyone from some of his friends like Arianne and Scarlett. To some people that he had never met before. He also looked at the professor with his laid back vibe at his desk. He liked the class and the students that were in it and it was turning into being one of his favourites. It was a lot of fun and it had some amazing people within it.
He looked around the room as he started to unpack and realized there were tons of targets everywhere. What in the world could this be used for? He was anxious to begin now and he applauded the professors amazing creativity. He knew this class would be interesting and he was ready to begin. He looked at the clock and realized that the doors would be closing soon. He patiently waited for that to occur and for class to begin.

doin it up, gettin er done, and having some fun Gian watched as one by one students waltzed into the classroom. He had recognized many from the first class however there were a couple new faces as usual. There were many people (and he was guilty of doing this in his classes when he was a student as well) that skipped classes or got lost on their way or didn't manage their time wisely. It 's hard to make it to them all so Giancarlo was pretty leniant if they missed a class. However, it is extemely important that the students realized that they would be missing A TON of information if they did miss a class and he felt like he got that point across in his syllabus that they each received.
He replied to all the "good mornings" and "hellos" with a reply stating the same and got up from his chair. After the last person had entered (which happened to be Brandon), he swished his wand causing the door to shut and the class to begin. "Good morning to everyone" he said in a cheery tone. He leaned against his desk and crossed his arms. "Today's lesson may be an interesting eye opener to most of you in the class, however it could be a bit dangerous so I encourage you to listen very carefully" He continued shortly after looking around at the faces of the students sitting in front of him. "Transfiguration, you must understand, is not about strictly turning this into that. It is about conjuring up a unique transformation with your wand tool. In today's lesson we will be doing something very interesting. Observe."
He stepped in front of one of the dart boards and aimed his wand at it, "Arowhora" he said and with that an arrow shot out of his wand and landed in the bulls-eye of the target. He went up and grabbed the arrow and then put it on his desk. "This is an interesting spell that, as you can see, allows you to create an arrow to shoot out of your wand. It is a unique type of transfiguration." He looked around the class and pointed at the dart boards around the room. "You will pick a target and practice this spell. It is important that you realize, however, that you are shooting out a weapon in the classroom and you are not to point your wand in any other direction but the board. If you do, you will be kicked out of the classroom and you will be given not only detention, but a great deduction of house points." He smiled, "It could be a lot of fun but safety is always first."
He pointed at each individual student and then pointed to a dart board saying their name as he did. Once they were all assigned a place to practice, he wrote the spell on the board:
Arowhora
"Once you have done this three times successfully you can sit back down. If you want further practice by all means continue practicing. Things you may experience if done incorrectly are short arrows, very long arrows, arrows with no sharp ending, and arrows that are not stiff." He smiled to his students and then raised his arms. "Begin!"
OOC: I'm in a huge rush so I'm sorry this isn't a great post but I hope you get the gist of it. Please post as soon as you can so that I can grade you and we can move this along! Hope everyone participates =) You can definitely RP you're character having fun or being really scared. Anything is fair game.

Students funneled into the classroom all around the Ravenclaw. For the most part Bel really didn't pay any attention to anyone – just like usual. Rather she was making notes from her open book and being the book worm of the class. Of course anyone who payed her a greeting got one in return because Bel was not one to be rude.
But her not being rude only went so far and when, what she considered a blonde bimbo decided to come in dressed far too horrendously to be doing anything than getting attention and announcing herself very loudly, Bel rolled her eyes and didn't even bother to pay a glance in the girl's direction. Attention-seekers were one of the most annoying people in her opinion but perhaps that was because she hated attention on herself and didn't understand those who wanted attention with such passion.
The only thing that truly tore the girl's attention from her book and quill was when the teacher started to talk about the lesson of the day. Bel closed her book and payed extremely close attention to what the Professor was saying about the particular spell they would all be practicing today. Bel recognized the spell well – when she was a fifth year, some of the seventh year boys thought it funny to shoot arrows at her until they all received two weeks of detention each.
After the explanation, each student was given a target on which to practice. Bel stood slowly and took her wand in her hand carefully. She moved to her target and examined it's dimensions and measurements. After a long moment she took five steps back and raised her wand. Though not considered a traditional part of the Transfiguration process, Bel closed her eyes and pictured the arrow she wished to create in her mind. She felt that picturing the desired result helped one achieve it.
Opening her eyes, Bel was careful to note the location of other students so as to not accidentally put them in harm's way. With wand pointed firmly at the target a few feet from her she said the spell, ”Arowhora.” As expected an arrow did in fact shoot from her wand and almost hit dead center but the problem was that it was missing it's tail stalk. Bel let out a sigh and closed her eyes again, focusing on the image in her mind. Repeating the process of spell she made the perfect arrow but didn't hit the center. It would take two more tries before she had the perfect arrow and it had hit dead center.
Bel glanced around, making sure she wasn't the only one still standing then took three steps back to work on her aim. Once she was satisfied with herself she sat down at her desk and began making notes on what techniques worked the best for her and this spell.

Kenny was noticing the students were beginning to come to the class as soon as possible. The young hufflepuff student had a feeling that class was going to be interesting today as the students took there seats as the bell rang for the lesson. Kenny looked on as he turned his attention back to the professor and begin to jot down some notes to remember this lesson by just to be ready like many others. He was hoping that maybe he would at least get a chance to interact with some students before class started but it seemed time was too fast this time as it was not the right time to speak to other students while the professor was speaking.
As the professor begin to speak to the students, it appeared to Kenny that Professor Matleo was in a very good mood for today’s lesson and was eager to tell the students about it as Kenny was wondering what could it be. When Professor Matleo told the class that this lesson may be dangerous it really took Kenny by surprise as he never imagined why it would be, suddenly he saw the professor aimed his wand at one of the colorful targets and said an incantation as an arrow came out of the wand and to the center of one of the targets. Kenny could not believe what he just saw as he removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes as he thought it was a dream. However it was no dream as the professor explained to them about the incantation he just said which caused the arrow to shoot out of his wand. The hufflepuff then listened on as the professor told the students that they will be practicing the spell with one of the targets on the board three times. This really took Kenny by surprised but before he was going to his target he listened on as Matleo told them not to fire the arrows anywhere else and only at the target as Kenny became a bit nervous while the professor wrote the incantation on the board for them to remember as Kenny saw the incantation and wrote it down as a note to remember.
Kenny made it to his target with his wand in his hand as he was trembling a bit worried that he might hit someone else and lose points or even get detention. He then moved a few steps back and took a deep breath as he closed his eyes and concentrate. He then opened his eyes and begin to say the incantation “Arowhora” he said in a calm voice as sure enough an arrow begin to form from his wand, the arrow was not long and not short as it seemed medium sized with an average tip as it fired to the target hitting at the third ring from the center as Kenny was amazed. He took a deep breath and concentrated again as he said the incantation once again “Arowhora” he said as the same arrow like last time formed and hit the target this time almost by the center but hitting the ring by the center as he nodded a bit. He had one more chance to do it nice as he concentrated and breathed a bit as he opened up his eyes ready to go. “Arowhora” he said for the last time as the arrow formed from his wand and shot right smack to the center of his target as a bull’s eye as Kenny was satisfied by the result as he collected his wand and returned to his desk with a smile on his face.

When she sat down, a girl she'd noticed in a few classes...a beautiful red-head, sat down next to her and even greeted her. She looked up suddenly and smiled at her. "Hi, I'm Arianne. I think you're...Scarlet?" Arianne had an uncanny way of picking up names when she wasnt supposed to, which might be a little creepy for people she hadnt actually been introduced to before. "Nice to meet you." She had just about finished greeting the girl when the class started and she looked back up at the Professor as he described what he called an eye-opener and a very difficult spell. She wrote down quick neat notes on her hastily removed piece of parchment (she had been a little distracted, if pleasantly, by the gryffindor girl) and particularly wrote the incantation neatly on the parchment in a box. She even practiced whispering it to herself making sure she knew how to pronounce it, Arianne did not make the same mistake twice.
And yet when she got up and took her place to finally do the spell she did not do that well. Her first attempt, "Arrowhora!" led to a flurry of very tiny arrows with no point going in all directions. One even hit a rather large looking hufflepuff girl, but it couldnt have hurt because it had no point. How had she even managed to make two of the mistakes the Professor had mentioned in one go, and then also make multiple arrows appear? She had no idea at all what she was doing. "I'm so sorry," Arianne called out. She made sure that the girl was alright, and then went to her place to check on the spell, and then cleared her mind. She needed to clear her mind. Her next few attempts led to an increasing amount of frustration - she wasnt even making tiny, defective arrows now. She was, in fact, making none.
And then, "Arrowhora!" she said, and an arrow came out and hit the target - not at the dead center, not even close, but at the very edge. Now that was a breakthrough! She attempted one more, "Arrowhora," in rapid succession, which led to a very bendy arrow that brought her right back to square one. Her next attempt, "Arrowhora!" also produced an arrow, but it also did not go that straight, she was, as she'd expected already, absolutely awful at aiming. Still, she did managed another few attempts succesfully, especially one, "Arrowhora!" that went that only a ring or two away from the dead center. She continued practicing, not wanting to waste any time till the end of the class, though neither her rate of success nor her accuracy improved very drastically, and the hufflepuff was still looking at her cautiously.

[/div] tearing love apart, Interesting, an eye-opener? Wow, now this had to be cool. Or so she hoped - she had long ago stopped expecting professors, even young cute ones who she flirted with, to be cool. (Sometimes, they flirted back. Sometimes it got further. Then they could definitely make it into Diana's 'cool' book, though it was pretty much rare. It wasnt, Diana reflected, that she was a bad flirter - it was just that Professors, even when they were only slightly older, tended to be awful prudes. She adjusted her glittery belt studded with stones, and flashed a smile at a cute boy in hufflepuff - she thought his name was Kenny but she wasnt too sure. Too much of a goody goody.
In doing and thinking all this, she had missed a large part of the actual lesson. Not that it mattered, she'd noticed her name and the incantation on the board and she was not at all worried about not being able to do it. She got up, lazily, after a few minutes and a long pointed yawn (she had had quite an enjoyable time watching a young ravenclaw poke a hufflepuff with arrows by accident - the look on their faces was amazing, though it might have been better if the ravenclaw had actually been able to produce a satisfactory arrow). Then she finally got up, found her wand from the mess that was her handbag, walked over to her place, aimed at the board and said, "Arrowhora!" A perfect arrow did come out of her wand, as she'd expected, though it was a little far from the target, because she'd lost control just a little bit towards the end of the spell. Well, she had never claimed to be very good at aiming, just at magic. She knew she was good at Transfiguration.
Still, for some reason known only to her, she walked over and removed the arrow. She didnt think anyone had seen it. She went back to her place, and then produced a stunning arrow that hit bull's eye. "Well well," she said in her loud voice. "Nailed it at first try. I dont know what you all are still struggling with." A few heads turned towards her at this lie, she especially hoped that the over smart Ravenclaw with the altogether too noticeable blue eyes was listening. Rolling her eyes, she went on to add arrow after arrow to her rapidly filling target, even managing to splinch a few arrows by putting the next one through it, and when she was satisfied that she'd made absolutely everyone jealous she smirked and returned back to her place and started packing up. She might have tried pointing the wand somewhere other than the board if she'd actually heard that part of the instructions, but instead she decided to pack up and maybe leave early and play some quidditch.
Classes, well, they were a waste of time for anyone as good as her. 496 words, picture credit safa

Scarlett stared curiously at the targets but then turned her attention to the Ravenclaw next to her with a warm smile as she introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Arianne. I think you're...Scarlett?"...
Scarlett nodded politely letting Arianne aware that she was correct. "Yes, I'm Scarlett Viceroy...how'd you know that?" she questioned innocently with a smile. Arianne, the Ravenclaw girl continued with the niceities, saying it was nice to meet her. "Well Arianne, it's nice to put a name with the face! Nice to meet you too." she quickly added before the professor addressed the room...
Professor Matleo quickly explained what the lesson was and then demonstrated the new spell that the class would be performing for the lesson of the day. The professor stressed the importance of safety with the lesson and Scarlett quickly glanced back at the blonde Slytherin. "That girl has trouble written all over her", Scarlett whispered to herself. She took a few moments and wrote down the basic information of the lesson and the incantation itself in her parchments and traded her quill for her wand...
As the students dispersed through the classroom setting their eyes and wands on targets Scarlett stayed near Arianne, and kept an eye on that Slytherin. Scarlett stood facing a target that hung rather high on the ceiling and repeated the spell in her brain over and over. She closed her eyes and focused on the spell. It was an exciting and potentially dangerous lesson and she wanted to do her best...
Scarlett pictured the room silent and empty in her mind as she repeated the spell over and over in her head. She was quickly shaken from her visions as she heard some excited and panicked squeals from some of the students. She opened her eyes and ducked with a gasp as a flurry of tiny arrows flew over her head. "What the..."...Scarlett ran her free hand over her ponytail and scanned the room...
That's when she heard the soft voice of Arianne apologizing to everyone. Poor girl seemed rather shaken up and embarrassed. Scarlett took a few steps towards the Ravenclaw, recalling the trouble she had in Charms and smiled sweetly. "Don't worry Arianne, you are doing fine!" she tried to offer some encouragement and to help calm her down in hopes that no more stray arrows went flying round the room...
After the small commotion settled down Scarlett took her own turn with the spell. "Arrowhora!" she commanded pointing her wand towards the target, but her concentration was disturbed by that darn Slytherin for a moment and Scarlett's arrow came out like a bendy straw as it flopped to the floor...
Scarlett took a deep breath, her Irish temper starting to fume as she glanced around at the other students and their shooting misses and successes. Scarlett's eyes, however, locked on the Slytherin with the big mouth. She watched as the girl produced a perfectly formed arrow and as much as it bothered Scarlett she watched as the girl sent it sailing towards her target, her confidence was booming and it made Scarlett's blood want to boil. That was until the arrow barely hit the target and a smirk quickly slid across Scarlett's lips...
With that behind her, Scarlett closed her eyes her arm outstretched with wand at the ready in the direction of her target and she imagined her arrow hurtling to the center of it. With a very deep breath Scarlett's voice commanded the wand, "Arrowhora!" when she opened her eyes a fine looking arrow stuck in the second ring of the target and she smiled as she pulled her sleeve up and aimed her wand again...
"Arrowhora!" her voice confident and serene as a beautiful looking arrow shot out of her wand and landed right under the bullseye. She shot a few more arrows all managing to hit right around the bullseye and she took advantage of the surrounding targets and hit a few of those as well with a confident smile. Scarlett was feeling on top of the world until she heard the Slytherin...
"Well well...nailed it at first try. I dont know what you all are still struggling with." the girl's voice was loud and obnoxious and what was more than obvious was that she was clearly directing most of her boast in Arianne's directions. Scarlett turned and stared at the girl with disdain in her eyes. "What a liar!" she thought to herself and then turned to Arianne and a few of the other students near by...
"I suppose she got it on the first try...if she can't count!" Scarlett's voice stung with a devilish smirk as she glared in the direction of the Slytherin, hoping more than ever she heard her. Scarlett watched as the girl shot more arrows into the center of her target and then scoffed at the rest of the class as she prepared to leave. That was it! Scarlett couldn't take anymore...
Taking a few steps towards the blonde, Scarlett whipped out her wand and making sure that she was clearly out of the line of fire she thrusted her wand in at the girl's target. "ARROWHORA!!!" she screamed, powerful yet controlled as her face grew more fiery than her hair. "ARROWHORA!" the command echoed through the room as a perfect arrow shot across the room and split the Slytherin's arrows dead center...
She's hit the bullseye that time and she pulled her wand back and blew the tip of it as she cocked her head to the side and glared at the target and the blonde. Tucking her wand back into her robes, Scarlett turned to Arianne, a very gleeful smile on her lips as she patted Arianne on the arm. "Don't worry, practice makes perfect!" she chimed sweetly and softly giggled with joy at her accomplishments for the day.

[/div] tearing love apart, She had just been enjoying the victory of her first arrow when a rather loud remark cut through the class, calling out her lie. She looked at the red head and narrowed her eyes. She turned to her, and smiled in a sickly sweet way that should have alerted the girl in a moment that there was danger ahead. "Sweetheart, I think you'd do better to concentrate on your own work rather than looking at mine, thank you." She sounded like she wanted to hurt Scarlet, and she did - her biggest weakness was people calling out on her lies. But she would take care of that girl, sooner or later - as soon as she found enough to spread some rumors or flirt with her boyfriend - if she had one. Diana considered her carefully, she was unfortunately pretty enough despite the flaming red hair, and who knew about the taste of boys in this school?
That was when the arrow came from behind her, zipping quite close to her, and hit her target straight on. It went straight through her arrow, too. She looked back again, slightly shocked, and noticed that it was the red head who was once again wearing the smug expression that gave away the fact that she'd done that. Besides, she was sure she had heard her saying the spell too, though she'd ignored it in the midst of the group of people doing the spell. She narrowed her eyes once again, and then wondered what she should do. She was tempted to make an arrow go through Scarlet, if only by calling it an accident, but the professor was far, far too close, and even Diana was not brave enough to get expelled, or that confident about her acting skills.
So she gave the gryffindor a look that might have killed and then continued practicing lazily. A moment or two later, she lost interest, went to her place (she made certain to spill over the little Ravenclaw's bag of books as she did that - at least she could take out some of the aggression she felt for the gryffindor on the girl, who seemed to be friends with her) - and then messily threw her own books and parchment and wand into her extremely expensive handbag, and then started to walk away from class, not really concerned that the Professor hadnt given them permission to. On her way out, she made sure to pass by the red-head, and give her a nasty look, and in a low whisper she said, "I'll pay you back for that one, gryffindor. Wait and watch."
She walked off. 442 words, picture credit safa

Arianne was struggling, and looking very upset and flustered indeed, when she continued to perform awfully, with half her arrows going wrong and some going awfully. It did not help, of course, that the slytherin girl wearing some outrageous accessories on top of her school uniform kept looking at her - and Arianne thought she was making fun of her, otherwise why would she purposely lie? Because, as Scarlett had said, the girl had not actually reached bull's eye at her first shot - though even her first shot had been better than Arianne's best shot so far, but then what could she do about that? Except practice, of course, which she continued to do.
"Don't worry Arianne, you are doing fine!"
Arianne turned at the unexpected sound, she hadnt known she'd disturbed everyone with her flurry of arrows, though of course she had. But Scarlett's statement made her smile gratefully. Scarlett was really, really kind, Arianne thought as she turned back to her practicing. Her next statement, about practice making perfect (she had rather missed the exchange in the middle where Scarlet had split the slytherin girl's arrow, and she would probably have admired it very much if she had seen it, because she was no closer to even bull's eye) made her smile as well, and she had just been about to remark to Scarlett - well, she wasnt sure what, but something to convey that she was grateful Scarlett was around in this class.
Which was when the slytherin girl came along, and knocked over her whole bag, leading to a spill of ink, parchment and books all over the floor. Arianne was on her knees in a second, trying to put everything back as neatly as it was in the beginning, because she really could not bear messes. She especially minded embarrassing ones like this. She had just put the books back into her bag, and arranged everything neatly, then cleaned up the ink with a cleaning charm (she was only good at those). When she looked back up, the slytherin girl had once again passed near Scarlett, saying what sounded like a threat (what had Scarlett even done?) and then walked out of class even though it wasnt over.
"She's...what's wrong with her?" she asked Scarlett, absolutely confused as to why anybody would behave in that way.
