doin it up, gettin er done, and having some fun
Gian walked into the Transfiguration classroom for the first time this term. He was pretty excited to get things underway but it was a bittersweet start. This class was first years through to fourth. He liked them in the sense that he could get them started in a good way and off fresh and stuff like that, however he hated it because he had to start from the beginning. It was a little more of the dry stuff and it wasn't as much fun or interesting as some of the other, higher level classes in which they would take part in later down the road. Well everyone has to start off somewhere I guess. Whether he liked it or not, he had to do it and it was transfiguration nonetheless. He went to his desk at the front of the room and unloaded his textbooks, lesson plans and other necessities for the class.
Today was only the first class and therefore it was a bit on the dry side, but it was important nonetheless. It would be review for the third and fourth years but pretty new for the first and second. He sat down at his desk and pulled out his lesson plans, all ready to go. He leaned back in his chair and waited for people to walk in. He was pretty strict about tardiness and he made that clear to the students when they signed up, however there was no doubt that there would be late folk in the class. There always were.
He leaned forward to his desk and looked at his class list. There were not too many people enrolled in Transfiguration this year which was a bit of a shock to him. He wasn't sure what about the course turned people off. It could have been the actual course and people just weren't interested, it could've been that it didn't fit in with their timetables and other classes, it could've been because they found it too hard, or it could've even been him. He hoped it wasn't him but he did have a tendancy to be a little strict in his teaching. He loved to have fun but when it was time to get serious he would have no problem getting strict with his students. That's just the way he was and he proved to be a good teacher as most of his students listened and did pretty well in the class. Hopefully this year wasn't too different.
He leaned back in his chair and waited for his students to show up.
OOC:
You have 48 hours from now to post in the thread. If everyone posts before the time is up then I will post again and we will start! If you post after the 48 hours you are late. For now just RP coming in and sitting down and then the lesson will begin either after the 48 hours has passed or once everyone has posted coming in. [/div]
