It was like she needed to scream out or cry so hard. Her emotions did not know what to do anymore. It was like she was betrying everything to be one of the looked at Slytherin girls like Diana and Astrid. But her lies about her blood sucked. Recently Diana found her favorite muggle book and was starting to ask questions about it. This half blood was not proud of her muggle mom and siblings but she definately missed them sometimes. She just wanted to scream out to everyone that she was a half blood, but that was out of character for her. Everyone saw her as the quiet girl who sat in the corner studying. But there was potiental to rule the school with Diana. She wanted to rule the school so badly and be be able to scream out loud for everyone to hear. It was weird for her to be up so high in the Astromony Tower since she prefered the dungeon. She figured she could watch the sun set and it might relax her. The best place to view the sun rise and the sun set was in the Astromony Tower since you could view the stars from here too. Her astromony homework was completed so she did not have a telescope close by. In fact she was just standing by one of the large windows and was leaned against the window frame. The window was cracked up just a bit for the cool night breeze. The soft curls of her hair bounced and swayed in the breeze, as well as the skirt she had been wearing. It was after dinner so everyone was in thier causual clothing. Cassandra happen to be in a short black skirt with a white sweater on. Her mother's pearl earrings were in her ears as well. The only thing that would identify her as a Slytherin would be the green and black striped socks she had pulled up to her knees. She took a step closer to the window and pressed her face against the glass to look down at the people in the court yard. One had remianed on the window frame while the other one was pressed against the glass as well. The sky began to change from blue to a bright red and orange color as the sun dropped down slowly. Her mind drifted back to what it would feel like to be known and desired by people. For guys to stop what they were doing to watch her walk down the hall. It would make her feel like she was worth a million dollars and like her blood status did not matter. She pulled her face back from the glass and sighed softly. Screaming was not in her nature but she wanted to so badly.

It seemed like each day seemed so tough for Kenny as the young hufflepuff had so much on his mind with trying to do his best to get through his fifth year in Hogwarts. The student felt like going for a walk by himself around the castle to think about what is really going wrong with him. He was doing very well in his classes and yet for some reason meeting some really good people to befriend was so hard for him. He had made a friend already last time at the outskirts and yet he felt like he needed to find someone that maybe someday can have a relationship with.
Since everyone was in casual attires for now Kenny had his usual choice of clothing which happened to be a yellow and white t-shirt underneath an opened short sleeve flannel shirt, jeans and sneakers which he really find to be comfortable to wear for casuals as he explored the halls finding at least something to do. Kenny noticed some stairs on his way and figured maybe it will lead him to probably somewhere that he can maybe do something to keep himself from being down and out. He then suddenly found himself at the Astronomy tower as he figured that maybe this is a good time to look at stars. Since his night at the lake he learn some very interesting constellations and thought that if he can find a good seat he might see those constellations again as he tried to find maybe a seat to take with to the window where the stars are viewed at.
As Kenny was finding a seat he noticed that he was not alone as he looked from a distance that there was someone else in here. Kenny then realized that maybe this young person was using this tower before him and felt that he might be getting in the way. The person looked a bit troubled, almost like he was and wanted to meet the person and maybe ask what was wrong but felt like he would probably be just a nuisance as he decided to leave. However, as Kenny slowly turned around to leave to tower he slipped a bit lightly hitting the nearby chair with his knee as he landed on the floor feeling a bit humiliated again as he realized the other person might’ve heard it as Kenny was shaking a bit feeling like he was in trouble.

Cassandra watched as the final rays of sun had dropped down beyond the horizon and the sky turned blue and then grew darker, almost to black. It was absolutely lovely how it happened and how the stars began to twinkle in the night. It would have been romantic to have seen it with a boy interested in her. Lately she just felt liks such a romantic, probably just the stupid teenage hormones. Or maybe Diana was getting to her about the whole virginity issue? But she just refused to loose it to someone random and then have the whole school hear about it because thats what Diana would have done.
Her gaze drifted around the window. She was standing on a ledge, where students would put telescopes, to enjoy the floor to ceiling windows. The windows were so clear, well except from where she had her hand pressed against the window. Once again she moved closer to the window and looked up at the sky. She named a few constilations and stuff just to see how much she remembered from the class. But as she was naming she heard the sound of someone tripping over chairs.
Quickly she turned around and saw the kid. For once she had no idea who he was, but she could assume from the color of his clothing that he was in Hufflepuff. Also he looked about her age or maybe even a bit younger. She took a step down from the ledge towards the hufflepuff boy. "Are you alright?" She asked and looked over to see him while he was on the floor. "Where you coming in here to do homework? Because I can leave if you have the Astromony tower booked to work on something." She offered because she knew that students always booked the tower to work on assignments privately. Since she had brought nothing but herself it would be easy to just leave and let the boy have the place to himself.
She was still standing a distance from him since she did not know him. If she knew him then she might have crossed the room to talk to him. But the room was not that large so they could talk from a distance until he asked her to leave. She waited for him to answer her.

Kenny felt like he was always getting into a mess of trouble on the account of being clumsy which is something he couldn’t help as he felt like his leg was hurting though not much from the accidental trip as he was now trembling with fear. He was really hoping that it was not one of those dreaded dementors, although he was told about what he can expect when a dementor is really here. Kenny made sure his wand was in his pocket just in case he had to go and defend himself from whatever may be in this tower as he heard a voice. Suddenly as he heard a voice asking if he was alright, he stopped and noticed the voice was really nice and decent as he stopped the shaking and slowly begin to get up and then turned around to see who it was.
He noticed that the person that was in this tower before him was actually a nice looking student who seemed like she can be a friendly person as he noticed her hair and her attire which were a sweater and a skirt as the young hufflepuff looked on and felt like she was either working on something or maybe she was here for another reason. Kenny listened on as she asked him if he needed the tower for homework as he finally cleared his throat and begin to speak to her while keeping a small smile on his face. ”I’m really ok, thanks for asking, I just hit the chair sorry, just a little clumsy.” he said with a nervous chuckle before continuing on. “Well, not really, I’ve done my homework, I was just….” he stopped a bit as he felt like she would probably laugh at him for saying he felt lonely and just wanted to come here but he felt like he should be honest at least. “Well, I felt a bit like I needed something to do and I had nowhere to turn to, so I figure I come here to look at the stars” he said as he hoped the girl was not upset by any of this.
Kenny then realized that he had yet to introduce himself as he begin to speak up again for her to hear. “I forgot to introduce myself, My name is Kenny Michael Templeson, I usually go by Kenny for short.” he said with a small chuckle as he picked the chair he tripped on up and placed it back by the desk while he looked back at the girl keeping his smile on his face hoping she was a nice person. “What is your name miss?” he asked hoping she would reply to him.

When he began speaking to her she actually took a few steps closer so he could see her and she could get a better look at him. Come to think of it she believed he was in one of her classes so he must have been in her year. She looked over his outfit and figured that he must have been from the hufflepuff house since he was wearing a yellow and black shirt. There was nothing else she could really gather from him just by his appearence. She gave a soft smile since he seemed nervous about something.
Then he told her about how he felt the need to just come up the stairs and stuff. "Well the view is actually very nice and very relaxing if you are stressed out." She commented. When she was stressed out she felt the need to find a quiet place in the castle. This was her first time here since she was more of a ground person. The tower did have a lovely view but the lawns also had a great view of the hills around the castle. "if you want to have a look at the view the stars are just starting to come out and are quite lovely." She added and took a quick glance back at the window. Then she turned back towards him.
Then she learned him name. "Nice to meet you Kenny. I am Cassandra Murphyand I go by Cassandra for short. I mean Cassie if you want but I like Cassandra." She said. The only reason she gave her full name was because he did. Once again she moved closer to him since they were talking. She leaned against a desk as they were talking. "i hope the chair is alright." She said to try and lighten the mood. Sometimes she was clumsy too and would trip like he just did. Once she walked right into a door since she was looking in a different direction and did not see it coming. But she would only share that story with him if he felt truely embarassed by the trip.
"Do we have class together?" She asked since he seemed familiar even though she did not know his name. Probably because she did not pay attention to the people in class with her. But she did remember that the Slytherins did have class with Hufflepuffs at some point during the day.

It appeared that Kenny was starting to feel quite better as she was speaking to the girl student here in the tower as she moved closer to get a good look at him though he did not know why she was doing that, probably to see if he was hurt from the trip but he didn’t bother asking. While this was going on Kenny noticed that she dressed nicely though he wonder if she was either Ravenclaw or maybe Gryffindor, however he noticed that she had green and black striped socks which could mean that she may be Slytherin which made him a bit scared of. However after seeing how nice she was he figured that it was best to keep the conversation good for now.
The young girl then called herself Cassandra as Kenny thought that name sounded very lovely as he listened on to her when she mentioned that the view of the stars is nice and lovely if stressed out over something. Kenny was not sure if he was stressed out at something though he did like to see the stars as he looked as Cassandra and gave a small smile. “It’s nice to meet you too Cassandra, That’s a lovely name” he said though she told him she can call her Cassie if he like to. He then noticed she was looking at the chair he tripped on and was a bit worried by it as he went to get a close look at it. “Well it’s not messed up that’s for sure.” He told her hoping that she was amused by his mood as he kept his smile for now.
When Cassandra asked Kenny if he was in any of her classes Kenny might’ve realized that he might have saw her before and then realized it all along. “Why yes, I’m in Potions class I might’ve waved once before class started only to say hello. I was afraid of speaking because I’m usually shy” The hufflepuff student said hoping she didn’t seemed upset at all by this. “I really do want to make some friends honestly, but yet when I do it always seem tough” he said feeling a bit down by this.

It was nice that he thought she had a lovely name. It had belonged to her grandmother on her fathers side. For the first eleven years of her life she believed that grandmother was dead. Turns out her grandmother was not actually dead, just ashamed of her half blood children. Oddly her grandmother was a pure blood and was disappointed in her son when he married a muggle so she cut him out of her life. In return her father cut magic out of his life until the day Cassandra showed her abilities. When her mother finally left the picture, then her grandmother showed up about a week before she left for Hogwarts. "Thanks." She finally said and smiled. "I guess its a family name."
She was amused by him and moved closer. She looked right down at the chair and studied it. "Well I think everything is in order. I will just remember not to sit there tomorrow in class." She commented and kept smiling. "Whatever... its just a chair. Magic can fix it if there are actual issues with it." She added and then leaned up against a desk close to him. After a moment she got up and sat on the top of the desk since she did not wish to sit in a chair right now. They were casually talking but she made sure to pull down her skirt so it was covering her.
When he mentioned potions class she nodded. "yeah thats were I've seen you before." She said and smiled. She remembered seeing him and that he sat a few rows away from her with his hufflepuff friends. Then he mentioned that he was shy and she realized that they were probably more alike than he knew. She was shy as well and she was also having trouble making friends. "Trust me I understand." She said and looked down at her socks. She loved the socks since they were just so cute and showed her house. "I understand with the whole shy thing and the whole friends thing."

Kenny was really doing well so far in speaking with the girl known as Cassandra as she felt a bit glad that he liked her name as she told him that she guess that it’s a family name as he noticed her moving a bit more closer than before as he was wondering what was going on. He then heard her say that if there were issues with the chair magic would fix it as he smiled again. “Sounds like an interesting family name” he said as he paused a bit feeling a bit sad as he would not have known being that he didn’t had a good family life.
He was then told by Cassandra that she did know him in Potions class and that she knew what it was like to try to make friends. “Really? Well, by now you probably realize that I’m Hufflepuff” he said hoping that she would not be so different at all because as he looked at her, he was amazed by how lovely she looked with the hair and the eyes as suddenly he felt a bit of blush coming from his cheeks. Like him she understand the whole being shy thing as it seemed that there really were others like him that were nervous to make new friends or even find someone romantic at all. He then noticed she was leaning by a desk to get a look at him and it was making his blush go up a bit but not too much to begin with. “Its not only that, I’m……Half Wizard and Half Muggle” he said hoping that she wouldn’t make fun of him for that.
Being that he already revealed to her that he was a Hufflepuff Kenny wondered once and for all which house did this beautiful person came from as he looked at her with a small looking but nervous like smile and cleared his throat. “Cassandra…Which house do you happen to come from?” he asked hoping the conversation can go on without any troubles at all. He was really enjoying speaking to her and it felt like it was becoming another nice night like the lake when Kenny learned about the constellations.

When he was speaking it was just amazing how similar they were. They were both having trouble with making friends, and both felt alone. She was trying to make more friends and so far she was being partially sucessful. But she was definately hanging out with more people from her house like Diana and Jack. Jack had been very nice and took her into the Forbidden Forest, which was definaly very cool. Also Diana was acting like the bitchy older sister who was making her look like a sexy Slytherin.
Then he said the magical thing... that he was a half blood. "you are just so much alike." She repeated and smiled. "Promise not to say anything... I am a half blood too. My father is a wizard and my mother was a muggle." She told him. He was the second person she told since getting here, well the second student. One of the first things she did was tell a professor when she was starting to feel nervous about how the people in her house spoke about half bloods and muggle borns. "Where are you from?" She asked out of curiosity.
Then she nodded. "yeah I guess hufflepuff... sorry but the yellow shirt did give it away." She said. Then he asked about her house and she pointed to her socks in responce. "I am in the Slytherin house... " She explained. During the sorting ceremony she was very confused when the hat gave her house. It was so weird since her dad said that he figured she would be in Ravenclaw like her father. That moment she relived in her head... the Slytherin house cheered because they got a new person and she felt weak when she tried to get up. It felt like it took her five years to finally settle into her house.

Kenny realized how much of a surprise that Cassandra was really almost similar to him in both being shy around people and having a hard time making friends around Hogwarts. Though Kenny did made a friend not long ago in the ravenclaw known as Isabel who taught him so much of the constellations at night and how she was almost like him as well in being shy in making friends. The young hufflepuff seemed to be doing real well in speaking already to Cassandra who looked like she was enjoying speaking to him as well.
Suddenly Cassandra revealed something that made Kenny even more surprised. He found out from her that she was also Half Blood which he couldn’t imagine at all someone as beautiful as this girl could be somewhat of a half blood wizard. Kenny was then told by Cassandra to promise not to tell as she told her about her father being a wizard and her mother being a muggle. Kenny realized that he no longer needed to be afraid of what he was as he begin to speak to her. “I promise I won’t tell anyone, Cross my heart.” he said hoping that would make her feel quite better. “Well, my mother is a wizard from England and my dad…….” He was scared a bit to talk about his past when he was young but he took a deep breath and begin to continue on. “My father was a muggle from America where I was born.” He couldn’t believe he was telling her this as he never thought he told anyone how he was half blood at all.
When Cassandra revealed to Kenny that she was of course from Slytherin as apparently discovered by her socks Kenny had a feeling she wasn’t ravenclaw or gryffindor. “I might have known. You seem like a nice lady honestly” he said as he felt a bit red in his cheeks as he couldn’t believe what he was saying. “So, what are you doing here in the astronomy tower? Is something the matter?” He asked hoping that maybe that he can probably make her feel better on what ever may be troubling her.

Cassandra was actually enjoying talking to Kenny. He was nice and just so similar to him. She felt like she could tell him all of her secrets and that he would keep them and share with her information. As she sat down on the desk she put her feet up on one of the chairs to keep talking to him relaxed. She smiled and let out a relaxed sigh. Then she looked over the guy that she was talking to. Then she noticed how his cheeks were slowly turning red like he was blushing. She would have asked about it but he was show shy and she did not want to scare him off by asking a question like that.
"Thank you. I just dont know how my house would react." She explained and then focused on him as he revealed his past to her. Just from the way he spoke and acted she could tell that it was painful. "Wow America... Whats that like?" She asked. It was probably a stupid question to ask since he was upset but she was interested in what America was like. She had never been over to America, but her sister used to talk about going to New York City to see all of the great fashion. If Cassandra had to guess her sister was working with fashion in downtown london area. "Why didnt you go to magical school over in the United States?"
"Thats weird because Slytherins are not known for thier ability to be nice... " She commented. It had been the oddest sorting ever. One time she asked the headmaster about it and he told her that everything would work out in the end. The sorting hat was a very powerful magical object for seeing into the future. So for now she needed to trust it. "I wanted to watch the sunset... its honestly the best place to see it." She commened. "Plus its also quiet up here." She added.

Kenny has really been doing what he can best to remain calm while speaking to the surprisingly friendly looking slytherin student Cassandra who was so much the same as he was in things he would never expect from her. He leaned a bit on one of the desks for the time being just so that he doesn’t feel like he wanted to just stand still while speaking to her as he noticed that she was feeling so happy and relaxed by speaking with him. He then noticed that she was looking at him blushing as he realized that she was wondering why he was like this, he couldn’t figure it out but was there something romantic about her that may be causing him to blush.
When Cassandra thanked him it seemed like he was really doing a good job in making good conversation skills. Apparently she asked Kenny about his life in America as he felt like she shouldn’t know at all but it seemed like she should really know the truth about his past as he took a small breath and begin to speak clearly to her. “Well, as I mentioned my Father was a Muggle and my Mother was a Wizard and when I was born…I thought that I would be a joy for the family. Well, a few years later when I grew up, I discovered that I can perform magic like my mother. She was impressed by it and yet my father was mad.” he said as a tear formed in his eye. “He had a fight with her about me using magic and it got mean. She had enough eventually and one day before my father got home she had me packed and took me with her to start a new life in England.” He said as he sighed deeply. “I never thought I would told anyone my past because I was afraid I would get laughed at” He added as he heard Cassandra asked him about magic school in America which made him smile a bit as he was not sure if it was a joke or real.
Kenny listened on as Cassandra told him that she was actually at the tower because she wanted to see the sunset being that the tower had a great view to see it as well as it being quiet up here for now. “Well, it looks as if the stars are coming out right now, hey if you want, how be we look at some for now?” Kenny asked hoping if she would be nice enough to join him.

Secretly she was interested in why he was blushing. It was cute and she wondered it was because he was interested in her... in more of a physical way. Lately all she had been thinking about was boys and how Diana could just sleep with them and not date them. What could it really be like to share such an inimate moment with someone while not committing to them. Her body was dieing to know but he probably wasnt interested in her. According to everyone in the Slytherin house she was the plain jane and no one would want her.
Then she listened to him talk about his past. She felt bad asking now since she noticed how emotional he was getting. "if it makes you feel better the same thing happened to me. I was at school and recieved a letter from my father with a letter from my mother inside. Basically it said sorry but I am leaving." She said. At first she was bitter about it, and then angry, and then did not believe it. You know the typical stages of grief. but some how she moved pasted it all. After he was finished she put her hand on his shoulder and smiled. "Trust me... I would never laugh at that. Its jsut awful to loose a parent like that."
She tried to smile to get him to relax and be happy. it would be nice to just move on and maybe be happier together. If both of them could get past such awful tragedies then they could do it together. Again she smiled when he asked if she wanted to see the stars. "yeah I had a great view." She commented and then got up and went back to the window. She moved closer to the glass and looked up. "its just so wonderful to look at."

It appeared that Kenny has been really curious to know if one thing would happen to him like so many of the other students in Hogwarts and that one thing that he wanted to happen was true romance. He wanted to successfully find love real soon but it was really tough to find honestly for him. However, since he was speaking to Cassandra it seemed that she was enjoying his time at the tower as he told her his sad past as a kid. He wondered though if she would be interested in a guy like him who was shy and nervous most of the times.
When he told Cassandra about his past, it looked as if she felt bad about asking about it at all but then she told him about her past to help him feel better. Kenny learned about how she got a letter from her dad with another letter from her mother which was something that was probably bad news as it was about leaving which seemed a bit sad. He then felt her hand on his shoulder as if she was comforting him hoping he would feel quite better from all this. It seemed to work as Kenny smiled a bit at her as if she was thanking her for comforting him. “That had to be really sad about what happen. I bet you had a hard time trying to recover from it?” he said softly keeping his smile up so he didn’t feel down and sad.
Kenny watched as Cassandra went to apparently the window area of the tower after he asked if she wanted to watch the stars with him as he got up from the desk and went to where she said she can get a good view of the stars. Hopefully what Kenny learned of the constellations before can be of good help as he was next to Cassandra as he looked up at the stars with her. “You’re right, this is a great view, they looked really lovely out tonight.” He said as he smiled at Cassandra. He then looked up hoping to find some constellations though for now there were stars that seemed bright and shiny tonight as if something might happen, though anything is for sure.

Honestly if asked what kind of guy she wanted in her life there was no way to answer that question. Men where just a mystery to her at this point but she was hoping to date real soon. Maybe finally deal with the whole virginity issue, but that descision would not be taken lightly. She wanted that magical moment with floating candles and a romantic atmosphere. If kenny could provide that then great, if not then she would move on but vowed to remain friends with kenny since they had so many things in common.
Their pasts were both sad and full of abandonment. She nodded. "yeah it was hard but I've learned to live. Its only this year that I've told people about it." She explained and then looked down at her feet before looking back at him. "but we just have to grow from those kinds of experiences and move on." Get over it was the wrong way to put it. How could you get over something so awful. However moving on was different because then you accepted it and just learned how not to act. For instance she knew that she never wanted to marry a muggle because of how her mom reacted. A muggle born was alright because at least a muggle born was still a wizard and knew about magic.
As she looked up at the sky she realized how many constillations she could name. it was impressive since Astronomy was not her favorite class. it was a step above divinations but divinations was her least favorite. She looked back at him after a moment and smiled. In that moment she just felt so connected to him and wanted to see what would happen. She took a slow step closer to him. It was just a wonderful moment where she felt innocent and wanted to know how it felt to be more. She took a breath before she moved right up against him and gave him a kiss. It was on the lips, but on the softer side and she did not hold it for long in case it made him uncomfortable. Afterwards she looked at him to read his reaction from the kiss.
(Sorry if its too forward, I just wanted to do something interested)
